Any reviews for Hyaluronic Acid serums?
Good or bad! |

Do you mean pure HA or serums with an HA base? I have a bottle of isomers h-pur and I like to add it to hand creams for extra moisture. I don't think I'll repurchase, though. |

I have just started using the Source Naturals Skin Eternal HA serum, too! I really like it...and the price was right (I bought it on PapaNature.com, which is a new offshoot of iHerb, which is another company I love). The only thing was, I had to get used to the coconut smell ...but it fades after a few minutes, and I do like the result it gives me. The Skin Eternal cream is good, too...someone here posted about it and I gave it a try. I use it on my face and neck, but it works wonders on the hands, too!

**Reviva Labs Hyaluronic Acid Serum**
I've been using this for a few weeks. This serum is rather thick, so I mix a little of it with my moisturizer and apply to face, neck and declotte. I do think it helps my skin retain moisture throughout a long day. Because of the thicker consistency, I don't think I'd ever apply this HA serum alone....I just don't think it would absorb well, and would end up peeling or balling up. (? hope you know what I'm trying to say!)
Here is the description and list of ingredients:
"Description
Gain and Retain Skin Moisture.
Our highest-potency daily moisture booster!...
Reviva Labs has now compounded a higher level of premium Hyaluronic Acid into a precious fluid that can help raise skin's moisture level to fill-in furrows, plump up tissues and tone-down age lines.
Ingredients: Demineralized spring water, glycerine (vegetable), hyaluronic acid, polysorbate 20, hydrolyzed mucopolysaccharides, green tea extract, hydroxyethylcellulose, simethicone, carmelized sugar, methylparaben, propylparaben." |

I just recv'd DHC's HA Powder today. My intent is to mix it in with my moisturizer for added moisture. What's cool about this powder to liquid product is that you can mix it into everything..toner, serum, sunscreen, moisturizer etc. Can't wait to try it! I havent' used any other HA product except a sample of Dermalogica's Hydrating booster..which was nice btw. |

Where do you buy the Source Naturals one?
What would happen if you put it on your lips? |

Is that Dr. Hauschka or Dermalogica or another brand? I didn't know either had a HA powder. |

FYI - you can get this brand at your local Whole Foods stores (in the skincare/personal hygiene aisle). |

When I used the Reviva Labs HA serum on my lips it dried them out so severely that it took 3 weeks to get them back in shape! |

Laurabeth,
DHC is a Japanese skincare line. You can view their products including the hyaluronic acid (look under boosters) atwww.dhccare.com
I tried it last night and my immediate impression was that it wasn't too hydrating. Having never used HA by itself I guess I expected it to have more of a hydrating feel. I base this impression on the fact that I have tried Dermalogica's hydrating booster which contains HA, but it does have other moisturizing/hydrating ingredients and it REALLY feels moisturizing-IMHO. I do like the little container the DHC HA comes in and the powder to liquid idea. Perhaps today I'll try using alittle more of it as I was used it sparingly last night. |

Which one in particular? I would say overall HA serums, or products with HA, are a good idea as they help to pull moisture into the skin. My understanding is that HA serums should be used with a good moisturiser over the top as they take the moisture from that and suck it in deeper. If you do not have something moisturising over it you will end up with dry looking skin as the moisture still gets sucked down lower (that is my *very* basic understanding of how it works ).
Btw, I have removed your duplicate thread on this. |
