For a few months now I've had a small bump on my chin that I would compare to a raised mole, but it's skin colored. I have a partial one on my forehead and now I'm getting another near my chin. Does anyone know what this might be and what might be causing it? I don't see any kind of head on them.
I'm currently using a retinol product that's pretty strong and only cetaphil cream during the day and camellia oil/jojoba mix at night. Oh and the PSF firming toner. Any thoughts?
By the way, I am very prone to moles and have many, but it seems weird that these would just now be popping up. The other brown ones on my face have been there for many years. I'm stumped and will probably have to see the derm, but I was hoping someone could shed some light before I fork out the copay. |

Hi TAMgirl,
Do you have children? After I had my second baby, I started getting the same thing on my face. I actually started getting many strange things on my face-I had great skin before. The doctor had to remove them and she said it was caused from hormones-those great hormones!
Good luck. |

I don't have any children (other than my sweet lab and tabby cat!). However, my hormones have felt a bit off lately for some reason. I've been having some horrible mood swings and I don't know if it's my birth control pill or just what. I've been on this same pill for years though so I doubt that's the problem.
How did your doctor remove them? Did they excise them and stitch the area, laser, other? Thanks for your response, it's definitely not what I expected! |

I have had one excised and others removed with an electric needle I doesn't look good at first but eventually disappears. It is strange becuase I have always had great skin. Best of luck! |
