Hi,
I'll be travelling to the caribbean soon and I'm looking for suggestions for hair products to help keep my hair under control in the humid climate. Thanks. |

Hi lee@nn - After taking katee's recommendation on this forum, I've started using Terax Crema conditioner. It really works for me -- no summer frizz! I used it with Terax Collagene shampoo, but in the winter, this made my hair too limp. Next time I purchase, I'm going to try the Miele shampoo instead for winter. BTW, my hair is very long, fine and color-treated. The climate here in the summer can be quite humid.
Have fun on your trip! |

I recently survived the Carribean air with liberal amounts of conditioner and a shine serum from Graham Webb. I applied more serum than usual and applied to my hair when wet, rather than dry like I do at home. I took care to blow dry before too much of my hair had dried ... this prevented the natural wave that was craving to come out in the humidity. Most good hair care lines have a shine serum ... it basically has the consistency of baby oil. |

What type of hair do you have? Mine is long, straight and fine. I usually refer to my hair as "my ten strands". Mostly I love what the humidity down here does to it, I get a tiny bit of wave. I use Bain de Terre Recovery Complex on the ends after washing and to tame flyaway bits when dry. I only use a few drops at a time. Because I'm in the salt water a lot I often put oil or shea butter in my hair before diving to protect it or it ends up feeling like straw.
This is how humid it is down here: I recently bought a curling iron online and for kicks one afternoon spent some time curling it and spraying it into a big Pamela Anderson 'do. I took 10 steps outside the boat and it was straight again. |
