I'm 30 years old and IPL (intense pulse light)/photorejuvenation has been recommended to me.
I've looked into it only a little bit, but so far I'm seeing that it seems to be an effective treatment for conditions like rosacea/broken capillaries.
My main concern is actually aging skin. Sun damage, wrinkles around my eyes and mouth, etc. I got too much sun and smoke during my youth and it shows on my face.
My question is, is IPL an effective solution merely for aging skin? Is it going to help my particular concerns? I keep seeing vague descriptions like it "improves skin quality and texture" and "makes skin look younger."
I need to know whether this is worth the fairly significant price.
Those of you who have had the treatment or are familiar with it, can you give me any guidance? |

It can have a firming affect but it isn't major, nor does it tighten up pores but slightly. It does help veins, discoloration, sun spots and sun damage. It is a godsend for people with rosacea. |

So it's not going to be a help with fine lines/uneven skin, then? |

It does plump up your skin and help rebuild collagen to a degree. It will help uneven skin tone. Thermage is more for tightening, firming or so they say. I have not done that one. You might google the photofacial and look at the descriptions. |
