I've just ordered a fibre optic blush brush and had a couple of questions on how to use it. In reading about them, they pick up a minimal amount of MMU and give a very natural effect. If that's the case, would I apply the blush after my finishing powder and also, do you still 'swirl and tap'
Any help and comments on their effectiveness would be appreciated.
TIA

I have no idea how effecitve they are but I would love to hear what you think of it. I only just saw one online on the weekend and I didn't realise they existed before then! I was intrigued, I always thought that fibre optics are quite rough, but obviously they can't be in this case. |

Hi Anya -
Fiber Optic (skunk) brushes are quite nice. They are very soft and do distribute lighter - very natural - I got mine from Aromaleigh and I love it!
I've always used either a flat top or a flocked sponge for regular MMU, then the Fiber Optic as my blush brush for MMU blush which tends to be very concentrated and a little dab goes a long way. I still swirl off any excess on a tissue, but not nearly as much as a regular blush brush. I've always used it as my last step - I do know some ladies who use the fiber optic to apply their blush, then go back and just take a little of finishing powder and lightly apply over the blush with the fiber optic for a very natural effect...you just gotta play around until you like the effect you see!
Regardless, I really think you'll like the brush!

Thanks for all the helpful information Maria Currently I apply blush, then Mineral Veil to get a natural effect, so it will be interesting to see if I get a different look applying the blush last. I'll let ya'll know.

I'm confused as usual. Are you talking about a regular skunk brush which looks like fibre optics like the one from Lancome or Mac (I have both of these) or a brush that is really fibre optic?

Thanks for clearing that up. That one looks exactly like my brush from Lancome. I have been using a cream cheek color then I use either the Lancome or MAC brush for a light sweep of powder blush. It lasts all day when I apply it like that.
