Hey I get skin irritation from tons of products. I tried vit C, Avotone, matrixyl from the personal formulator, Aveeno. They all made for irritation or red splotch. Also I get acne from sunscreen. I want to know what people with really sensitiv skin does that works. What products don't cause irritation for you with super sensitive skin? |

I think Cetaphil is generally recommended for sensitive skin. Decleor also have this cream called Harmonie Essentielle that is for sensitive skin - I use it to calm down any reactions or rashes. |

I got this website from another member here. It has a chart showing a long list of the ingredients that tend to cause acne or irritation and I find it to be right on. HTH

I encounter the same problem as you do. Worse than just sensitive skin, I had damaged skin because I'd mistakenly taken that I had oily skin (since I had a lot of oil on the surface and dry underneath) and sunscreen seems to causing a serious zits problem with red blotches,too.... I was so confused that I stopped whatever I'm using and use only a gentle washer and lotion from the phramacy close by. My skin hurts alot during winter times and quite obvious my skin is seriously dehydrated. Being a woman in my late twenties, I felt like doing something to help out as I still have a long way to go.
After reading alot here in the forum (which is a big cheer to me to pick up my regular skin care routine again, and thx) I've tried Dr. H and am currently on jurlique... recommended by my facialist, boom... my tricky little friends are coming back, explanation given to me is that I'm going through a "purging" process. Other than that, areas that are not reacting to the "purge" are absolutely fine. I've been on the brand for a full month... even I could feel its a different type of "acne" / "zits"/"impurities" whatever it is, I'm still suffering badly. Will let you know if anything got better next couple of weeks.
One thing I assure is that sunscreen from skinceuticals did work for me, while nothing else in the line could give me a lift. |
