Ladies & gentlemen, I'd just arrived home from work, and this photo was taken about 3.5 hours ago. So there you go. You know what I looked like at work today

Thank you for your kind words, but know that I had major break-outs all over my chin last week! I hadn't seen a break-out like that in a long time!
I'm trying to remember what I was wearing that day! For certain: Amazing Concealer in "Ver Light", as well as their loose mineral foundation in "Very Light". Maybelline Expert Eyes Brow/Eye-Liner in Blonde, Beauty Buffet Cosmetics Shadow in "Virtue", L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in "Black", Beauty Buffet "Coquette" Sheer Cheek Tint, and Beauty Buffet Kissable Lip Color in "Charmed".
As for skincare, it's been a mishmash lately! I really, really love Malin & Goetz's Grapefruit Cleanser & Facial Moisturizer. However, I think I took home a sample of something two weeks ago, which may have contributed to my break-out. Therefore, I am using my favorite old standby cleanser, SpectroGel, because it really helps with acne, and doesn't strip my skin.
Trust me, ladies: I have f'ugly days. Quite a few of them, actually! |

That face was NOT having a breakout. Next time I have one, I'll send you a pic so you can see what a "real" breakout is |

Uh, yes, it was. A lot of zits on my chin, along my jawline, and on my forehead. I even had a facial last week, just so I could get some of them properly extracted.
Remember: I used to work as a make-up artist, and there are tricks to covering blemishes. I'd used Amazing Concealer and their mineral powder over it. |

Hi Caspers Mum! That is a beautiful picture..your skin looks amazing! You said you used Amazing concealer on breakouts (huh? where?!) and was wondering if you would recommend the same concealer for undereye circles?? I use BB corrector, but am always searching for the next best thing Thanks! Nice brows, btw! |

Actually, I use Amazing Concealer on any imperfections that happen to be on my face! I have (naturally) dark circles under my eyes, and this product really helps cover them. It is not a heavy-texture, and doesn't get cakey the way that some products do.
For the blemishes (which were on my chin), I'd applied the concealer, and then their mineral foundation. I touched-up the blemishes with some more concealer, and a very light covering of the mineral foundation again on the blemishes, to set the product.
Kindly consider that there was a flash used, and I was back-lit in the shot, so I'm sure that these aspects helped diffuse my boo-boo's too.
Amazing Concealer & Cosmetics: I would really like to see EDS start selling this brand! If you would too, please let me know.
Re: my brows. Thank you for your compliment. I've always done my own, and seem to get a lot of positive feedback. My brows are naturally Brooke Shields thick (not bushy!), but I've worn them in various sizes over the years. Right now, I'm wearing them a little bit more full. I use my FAVORITE brow pencil in the World: Maybelline Expert Eyes Brow & Eyeliner in "Blonde" (the little red pencils, which come in a dual pack). Super cheap, and they've always been the best, in my opinion! I fill in the ends of my brows, and sometimes use a gold or taupe-coloured eyeshadow over-top. Depending on the look that I wish to achieve. |

Hi Caspers Mom,
Did you find the Amazing Cosmetics in Vancouver or did you order from the US?
I see the 1st ingredient in the concealer is mineral oil, have you had any problems with breakouts from it? |

Yes, yes! I heard about the Amazing concealer and BB's correctors and concealers around the same time---couldn't decide which to try, but went with the BB. But after seeing your pic, I'd really love to try the Amazing. Also heard their cosmetics are very good quality, too:)
Oh, those little red Maybelline eyebrow pencils!!! They've been around forever!! My mom used them when I was little (I'm 43 now) and they must have done a good job because I didn't realize until quite some time later that she had no eyebrows of her own! Hmm, may be time to revisit these oldies but goodies |
