Hi everyone! I'm not on here much anymore, too busy with my 7 week old!
Ever since I had the baby my skin on my face has been horrible! Very dry, peeling and irritated, I don't know if it is hormonal or what. In desperation I went into shoppers drugmart and found this new product line from ROC, it really calmed the irritation and hydrates my skin wonderfully...I was hesitant to try this at first since it does have fragrance, and I am highly allergic to anything perfumed, but this doesn't seem to bother me. It claims to reduce skin hyper-sensitivity.
Heres what it says on the box...

Indications: Sensitive or irritable skin that reacts to external factors (unsuitable cosmetics, changes in temperature, pollution, stress, etc.)

Roc Dermatologic Innovation: This care has been specifically designed to neutralise hyper-sensitive skin. Combining patented fortifying natural ingredients, it has a double action:
-it reinforces the skin's natural defenses to make it more resistant to aggressions
-it acts on reactive sources to prevent redness and sensations of discomfort.

Use: Perservative free, containing a fragrance specifically developed for sensitive skin, this high tolerance care is applied morning and/or evening. Light and non-greasy in texture, it provides an excellent makeup base.

I have to wonder if this is the same stuff as the Aveeno calming line since both are made by the company Johnson and Johnson and they both contain feverfew. I don't know the ingredients in the Aveeno line though, I will have to check it out next time I'm in SDM and compare the two. Heres the ingredients in the Roc Calmance soothing moisturiser:
Aqua (water), glycerin, cyclohexasiloxane, squalane, dimethicone, cetyl alcohol, paraffinum liquidum, glyceryl stearate, peg-100 sterate, butyrospermum parkii, simmondsia chinensis, chrysanthemum parthenium, ginkgo biloba, panthenol, allantoin, bisabolol, sodium polyacrylate, caprylyl glycol, paraffin, cera microcristallina, cyclopentasiloxane, sodium carboxymethyl betaglucan, pentylene glycol, isohexadecane, polysorbate 80, sodium acrylate/acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, disodium edta, tocopheryl acetate, p-anisic acid, parfum....
I can't believe this is not irritating to me with all these ingredients (whatever they are) Confused but it seems okay so far!
There is also a calmance cleanser, mask, body lotion and cream available and right now if you spend 25 dollars you get a 40ml soothing moisturiser as a free gift.
So if you have sensitive skin, maybe give this a try, I love the fact that if it doesn't work out for me I can return it for a full refund, but so far so good! Very Happy

Hi Moosette! Glad to hear your doing well and I'm sure having a wonderful time with the new bundle of joy! I just thought I'd mention that I just did a review on the Aveeno soothing creamy baby cleanser and it might be of help to you as well. It's great for skin with irritation and it also removes makeup like a dream. I'm not sure where you can buy it outside of the states though, but I'm sure you can get it online if nothing else!

You can't get Aveeno creamy baby cleanser in Canada any longer. Sad I emailed and asked aveeno.ca directly. They sent me a bunch of coupons, which was great but really, I just want the creamy cleanser back!

I have LPR Toleraine Fluide based on your rec, Moosette, I'm so going to look in the ROC moisturizer, I really like that it's preservative free. I find most preservatives irritating which is why I prefer a bit of pure oil to moisturize with which doesn't need preserving. I can't get LPR locally but my SDM does have ROC.

I LOVE RoC skincare - especially for its price - and am totally addicted to my Peel-Ex Radiance (so much so Ihave not been able to stop using it to try the Juice Beauty and Cellex-C peels I want to try Laughing )

Today I found a Hydra+ Destressant Miosturising Anti-Fatigue Mask (boosts skin radiance Visibly smoothes the skin) here in japan (and bought of course) but I cannot find it on any of the English Roc sites overseas...

Hope they bring that sensitive line out here!!

I had purchased the 3 5ml each of ROC calmance of cleanser, moisturizer lotion and moisturing mask.

It is $5.00 for the trial set. It also has a $5.00 coupon good for any ROC calmance product. I really like the cleanser. I liked the moisturizer also but held off on buying it (as I have a lot of moisturizers and my skin is quite oily so I don't need an extra one!)

The cleanser is a creamy milky type. Removes makeup well and leaves skin soft.
