I know that i have ordered the Epidermx..which should be with with me any day or so......but i was also considering the Roc Microdermabrasion Kit.......but when i saw it at Boots.com for 49.95 pounds........I was put off buying it.......
Anyway, i was browsing at boots - Offers of the week.......and the Roc Microdermabrasion kit was reduced to 19.95...and the refil renewx was down from 14.95 to 7.47 pounds....and the microdermabrasion heads from 6.95 to 3.47.... so i bought a few...........not sure if i really will like it.... but when you get a bargain.........it's very tempting to say the least........

Blimey, that is a bargain!
Did you get your cotton gloves?
I'll be picking my Strawberrynet parcel up from the Post Office Sorting Office tomorrow. The customs charge is £15. Wish me luck with trying to claim it back! Mind you, the items will still work out cheaper, even with the customs fees. |

Good luck with the customs charge....Today i received my Epidermx with my free Camilia oil...........can't wait to use that........
I haven't got my cotton gloves yet..........i'm busy at the weekends..........so i'll have to go to a larger boots branch on my day off next Friday.........i was going to order my roc renewx by mail from Boots........but, the less parcels my husband sees the better........he complains too much as it is about my impulse buying................
I usually have to hide my purchases in my big bag...........and hide them when i get home.........It's a hard life

I tried the ROC Renewx microdermabrasion .... can't say that i was overly impressed...........however, i am always expecting overnight miracles ..... I have to learn to be patient.....
I received my Epidermx........was to scared to try it on my face....instead, i tried it on the back of one of my hands..........quite impressed....on first impressions.........
I have ordered a sample size of Cream de la Mer...from ebay......so i am going to try that first.......before i go back on the microdermabrasion....
Eve....what did you buy - regarding ROC??

I eventually bought the RoC Retin-Ox Correxion Intensive Anti-Wrinkle Night - essentially this also has glycolic acid in it. Initially I was going just use it on my nose and forehead but have decided to do the whole face
and this Roc Retin-Ox Multi-Correxion Face & Eye Pack 'cause it seemed like a good deal. A stock up item!
and I also bought Avene Ystheal - Eye Contour Care as I thought this would be more hydrating than the roc eye cream. I was there reading the ingredients, back and forth they must have thought I was a shop lifter!
I'm using the Ox & avene at night at the moment with no side effects. I'm going to use them for about a month and re-evaluate the results. Basicially I was looking for something to kick up my routine. Something was starting to clog up my skin and make it bumpy despite changing cleanser/moisturisers etc.
I know people have had great results with retinols so figured I'd give it a whirl. So far I will say the blackheads round my nose do seem clearer. |

Eve ... you must have tried alot products........you were recommending the yonka to me - some time back...........
I find that the worst thing about buying so many things, like myself....you tend to hoard alot of stock....and you never really get to use a product properly....cause your in such a hurry to try the rest......
I have cleansers to last me at least 3 years.......masks...to last 2-3 years.....moisturisers....to last 3 years.........but i never learn my lesson......i still end up buying more.............
I just after throwing in the bin....4 gatineau throat creams worth 35 pounds each.....because they were out of date.......a whole bunch of decleor masks and creams......cause they also were out of date........
Reading eds threads.......makes me so much want to buy more and more..........

I guess I have but it depends on the products, how long to deliver results, do they still seem to be delivering, how my skin is behaving etc.
Yonka is a good line but right now I feel my skin needs a kick.
The epidermx & thalgo scrubs are good but they don't seem to be sorting out the congestion as I'd like hence I'm switching for a month to the retinol/glycolic however I don't think I'll try it in sunny weather due to increased sun sensitivity. |

Eve........i was reading the 'la mer' thread.......and tiger tom or was it tim............suggested a site called skinactives.......where everyone orders ingredients and make their own creams.......once on it.......i was reading through their forum............i was so intrigued........that my next step is to make a cream similar to la mer.......for which they give you the ingredients............
And the best thing is..........they are so cheap.......they even do the pumpkin enzyme peel.......which i haven't tried yet.........

Hey, Karina.. did you try making La Mer? I so wanted to try but have been too lazy to make an order for product, so imagine how long I would take to actually MIX my cream? This is why I don't DIY anymore...
Eve: I would love to hear feedback on the RoC Retin-OX night cream and also the eye cream. I had a sample of the night one, but it was too small to have any indication of success. The eye cream definately had my interest too but not really any great feedback on MUA. |

tiger tim.........i have started a new job about 9 weeks ago...........i ordered the diy kit of la mer........still lying in the drawer.......remember i told you all that i ordered the big 500 ml tub of la mer as well..........well when i do these things......like spending money i haven't earned yet......i make a resolution that i will use the product religiously........considering the huge cost......i have only used it about 6 times.......i am so lazy.....what with looking after 2 kids....(3 including my husband)....working full time....and trying to catch up on the housework on my spare time.........i barely have time to do anything............i am however going to mix the eyliss and chrislyn...(i think that's the right name.)...to make an eye cream that is meant to be good for dark circles...........soon some time this century......
I wish i had been patient and tried the diy cream de la mer kit first before splashing out......but we women expect miracles overnight....which never happen in reality........
regards Karina
If you lived in uk i would have sent you the la mer kit to mix your self.......but don't you live in Tokyo....give me your address.......and i'll post it to you.....maybe you'll have better luck... |

Hi Karina/Tiger Tim
Was just reading this with interest and wondered if either of you ever got around to making the DIY La Mer cream.
If so what sort of results did you get? I bought the giant tub of la mer off Ebay a while back and really liked it, but it costs so much I can't justify using it as my mainstay moisturiser.
Have been using epidermx and derma butter just recently which I'm really pleased with but
I have such sensitive skin I had been making my own moisturiser for ages before anyway.. so if the DIY la mer kit was any good I might give it a go...
please let me know if you or anyone else had success with this. Cheers! |

I have a 500 ml tub of creme de la mer which i
have decanted 2 50 mls of the stuff into an empty container and the rest is just lying in the cupboard unused - which i am trying to sell. I have 400 mls left and am selling the stuff for - any offers?
I have not made creme de la mer - yet.
Too busy working full time.
