I'm in the market for a new cool mist humidifier since my $30 Vicks version from Walmart crapped out after less than two months. It still works, but I got tired of it randomly leaking the contents all over the carpet. It leaked even when the unit was turned off! Good thing I had purchased a back-up humidifier, but it still is a very cheap and flimsy one and I'm sure it won't last long either.
I simply *have* to use one every night in my bedroom. Since Jan 10th when I started using a humidifier, my daily sinus pressure and pain has completely ceased. Not one problem since then and I don't even have to take prescription or OTC sprays and pills. Plus what I thought were fat deposits under my eyes for years is gone and my face, hair and body stays hydrated. Before I was limited to only a few eye creams because of swelling, but now I can use even the thickest of eye creams. Opens up a whole new world of eye treatments (am loving my cellcosmet eye cream now)! I was so miserable before and can't believe this little appliance has solved so many problems.
I had tried a warm mist humidifier 3 times in the past, but I always ended up with huge cystic bumps on my face which I never had before. I had no idea cool mist was the answer.
Do any of you ladies use a portable humidifier and if so, what is your favorite and most reliable? I want a quality one and will pay the price. A whole house unit is not an option.

Thanks! I will look into this brand. I'm so scared my only humidifier left will stop working at any time!

My humidifier is a Livart (Korean brand) that I bought from a Korean supermarket. If you don't have any in your area, they also sell them online:

The one I have looks different from this one, but it's similar. It has both cool and warm mist functions. This humdifier has saved my skin this winter! |
