I'm using tretinoin 0.1% (strongest percentage). Any of you who use this at this strength, do you take it right up to under the eye?
I spoke with someone who did apply retin a micro under the eye, but it is much more mild in strength.
I just want to be sure I'm not thinning out this skin area or doing harm..
I can't seem to get a dermatologist's advice on this...
Also, I ordered the gly-Luronic acid serum (15% glycolic acid and 50% hyaluronic acid)from Make Up Artists Choice to be used as a "daily peel"...
Is this safe to use nightly with the tretinoin or would you recommend alternating nights? Again, can't seem to get a professional opinion on this...
Anyone using the Make Up Artists Choice peel products?
Thanks for any input! |

I use Tazorac .1% on my face and usually the .05% under my eye area at my derm's suggestion after my eyes kept a dry appearance with the .1% even after months of use. She definitely wanted me to use it under my eyes even if I had to go to a lower strength. What she did was give me a bunch of little sample tubes of the .05 instead of writing a prescription. They last forever if you only use in the eye area. Also once she gave me some samples of Renova .025% to use specifically under my eyes and that worked too.
Hope this helps!

I was also given two samples of the retin a micro at a much lighter percent, so I'll do that. Yes, that was a big help! Thank you! |

It will not thin the skin under the eyes, just as long as you do not irritate or make the area sore or inflamed, so go slow. You may want to try a vitamin C serum or copper serum under the area, and go slow as well, if the retinol is too strong, or try using a mild retinol cream under the eyes instead of a serum or Retin-A product. |

Colleen,
are you going to use the two different strengths with the Obagi Blender? Def ask susan about that. Remember, the blender helps it penetrate DEEPER. |
