Hi
I'm looking for a concealer for pimple-the red nasty kind Anyone got a suggestion? Something that will help reduce the inflamation as well as cover it during the day.
I've tried L'oreal but it made my pimple worse afterwards. |

For coverage plus treatment, I love Neutrogena's On-The-Spot concealer with salicylic acid.
For just coverage, especially redness, I love Physician's Formula concealer in green.
I tend to apply a tad of the Physician's Formula over the Neutrogena if the Neutrogena doesn't attack the redness completely.... You have to be gingerly about it and it seems backwards but I want to apply the salicylic acid directly on the pimple before applying any other cosmetic.... It is amazing how the green just neutralizes without leaving a green spot.
Anyway, hope this helps but I'm sure you'll get tons of good recs here. |

I think the industry standard of Dermablend covers extremely well. |

In my younger days when I had acne I used to use Estee Lauder's Double Wear Concealer. It covered pimples and red marks very well. |

I use L'Oreal's Quickstick. It has SPF14. It's mineral-pigmented, so it heals the skin while protecting it.
Unfortunately it doesn't come in very many shades but I was lucky to find a very good color match. |

The best way that I have found to cover a pimple is to use a mineral foundation powder on a fine tipped brush and apply on very well moisturised skin. It just sticks to the skin and covers the redness for the whole day - there are also no problems with blending and therefore wiping off the coverage in the process (which is what happens to me with most concealers when I use them on pimples). Jane Iredale also makes a cream based mineral makeup concealer that is supposed to help heal pimples while covering them - it is a good concealer but I'm not sure if it speeds up healing. |

Yeah, yeah, I like to use mineral makeup on pimiples too... And for a particular nasty pimple, I really like this spot treatment + concealer from Shiseido d program... |
