So I noticed that there has been quite a few acronyms that we have created on this forum and some new (or returning) members are having a hard time figuring them out. I'm planning on putting up an announcement with just a list of common acronyms that people can refer to. I mean things like OCM for example, but also other common acronyms that we might be using here. We did have a semi-list ages ago but it might be best kept to an announcement rather than a thread as before.
If you think this would help and you think of an acronym that deserves a mention, then could you please post it here and I will compile it into a list at the end of the week. I'll then update the list as new acronyms pop up over time. |

I've always guessed that "DH" means "dear husband." Does it? |

This was an excellent idea. I have finally found out what some of the shortcuts now mean. |

That's a relief! I've replied to a couple of posts assuming "DH" was "dear husband" and I always held my breath that I wasn't missing the whole context of the message! |

It is Dimethylaminoethenol (sp)
In supplement form it helps aid in memory among other things. As a cosmetic cream, makers are claiming "lifting" affects. Dr. NV Perricone is a big proponent of this ingredient. He adds it to his creams and also sells DMAE supplements.
Acronymn to add:
HTH (Hope this helps) |

Could also mean 'darn husband' depending on the context. |

Quite true! That deserves an "LMAO" ("laughing my _ _ _ off") or "LOL" ("laughing out loud")! |
