I had my hair done and I asked for my natural color of med.brown, and it came out almost black. Is there anything I can do to help fade it quicker? Wash it in something maybe? I am so ashamed. |

Hattie,
I'm sorry to hear about your hair dilemma. The good thing about hair color, especially the dark ones is that they fade with every wash. You could try a good clarifying shampoo and use it a couple times a week but it can be drying so use a really good deep conditioner if you do.
Is there anyway you can go back to the salon and have them do anything to it, since it's not what you asked for. Since it's their mistake, they should fix it.
I had a similar circumstance. I went to someone new, after my favorite stylist moved on and wasn't able to take her client list. I asked for a few low lights to be mixed in with my blond hair. I ended up with these big, dark burgundy stripes in my hair (I'm talkin' Beet Red Burgundy) that bled into my blonde hair when they rinsed off the color and my whole head was a mess. I had this aweful, muddy blonde hair and these burgundy stripes. It was all so unnatural. I would have loved to have it fixed but it was the owner and her 3 assistants who did my hair and I didn't want any of them to touch even a single strand after that fiasco. I had to just wash it and let it fade. |

I've had that happen, too. I just washed my hair A LOT and it faded rather quickly, at least enough that it wasn't shockingly dark. |

It'll fade in about a week. I had red streaks put into my hair and the first day they were super bright, then a week later you can hardly notice it...
My stylist said not to wash my hair for 48 hours...maybe give it a wash in the morning and use hot water, that'll help it fade |

My stylist told me to come in today. He said he could lighten it "some". Wish me luck. Needless to say, I am kind nervous, not knowing what to expect!! Thanks for your support and advice. |
