This is a product marketed for sensitive skin, but it's so wonderful, I think all skin types would benefit from it.
It has a very light floral fragrance which doesn't annoy my "scentsitivites" at all. It comes out of the tube a pale pink color and turns clear on the skin. It gets partially absorbed, but not so much that you can't see where you've applied it.
The directions say to leave it on for 10 minutes, but it feels so good, I've left it on for 20 without any irritation. The directions also say to remove with toner, but I'm not a toner kind of girl. I find it rinses away easily with warm water.
Afterwards, my skin feels wonderfully hydrated and plumped up with a nice glow.
Now that Orlane has healed most of my hyper-sensitivity, I've tried several other masks, including the Valmont Renewing Pack that everyone seems so fond of. I think this one by Orlane is way better. (But then, I do have weird skin!) |

Wow! That's a big call (well for me anyway coz I love the Renewing Pack). I must try this then Thanks for writing the review. It's not minty by any chance is it? Just kidding, probably not |

Sorry, not at all minty. I assume "minty/tingly" is not a good thing for sensitive skin. (Toothpaste sometimes gives me a rash around my mouth if I'm not careful with it!)
Oh, that reminds me. I've been wanting to tell you "mint lovers" about my favorite lip balm. It's by Rachel Perry and it's called "mint tingle." I've been using it for years, with no irritation, probably because it is "spearmint" not "peppermint" which can be drying. It miraculously heals chapped lips and even has SPF. |

Thanks Alohagirl
I've never heard of the Rachel Perry lip balm but if it's actually called "mint tingle" then you can be sure that I will eventually try it At the moment my lip balms of choice are Burt's Bees, Blistex Mint Stick and the Decleor one at night. The first two are nice and tingly |

Alohagirl, ooohh I hope I can use this... I can't use the Valmont one, so if you say this one is better...
I really like Orlane. I'll have to try this! Does it minimize pores? |

Mabsy,
Rachel Perry has been around in the U.S. for decades. It used to be sold in Health Food Stores only, but now I find the little pots of lip balm everywhere, especially big drug stores like Longs.
You mentioned Burt's Bees. At first I loved their lip balm. (It's so powerfully pepperminty, it can almost take the place of breath mints!!) But after a few days of using it, I noticed that my lips had become very dry and dependent on lip balm. Maybe peppermint oil is not a good thing for lips???
Thoughtcrime,
My pores disappear for a few hours after using this Orlane masque. Since it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight, I'd say it's more of a hydration/plumping thing. Here's the ingredient list for you:
Water, Myreth-3 Myristate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Glycerin, PEG-100 Stearate, Sorbitol, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, Myristyl Lactate, Bentonite, Octyldodecanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Arginine Glutamine, Carbomer, Methylparaben, Trilaurin, Ethylparaben, Sunflower Seed Extract, Tetrasodium EDTA, Behenyl Alcohol, BHA, Fragrance, Soybean Protein, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Disodium Phosphate, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Dextrin, Shea Butter, Lactococcus Ferment Extract, Citric Acid, Glycogen, Disodium Succinate, Retinyl Palmitate, Linoleic Acid, Niacinamide, Linolenic Acid, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Soybean Sterol, Pyridoxide HCI, Inositol, Sodium Riboflavine Phosphate, Folic Acid, Cyanocobalamin, Thiamine HCL, Beta-Carotene, FD&C Red No. 4

Thoughtcrime,
You're welcome, but I didn't have to type this one. I found a Malaysian website that lists Orlane ingredients. (Don'tcha just love cut & paste?!!)
If you're interested in other Orlane ingredients, here's the web address. They have some, but not all the Orlane products.
