My friend has them for a long time. It started with one little white spot on her upper lip, then few weeks later she had more on her both lips and spots became bigger. I suggested to go see a doctor, and make sure that nothing serious is happening, but she refused. She afraid of doctors. I worry about her health. May be it is not something to worry about, but I think she has to make sure what is it.
If anybody had something similar to what I described, please, share your opinions.
Thanks |

Does she have any white areas inside her mouth as well? Esp. on her tongue? If so, she may have Thrush. It is caused by an overproduction of yeast in the body. I would suggest she see a Doctor, because if it is Thrush, it will get progressively worse. |

I don't know if she has any inside of her mouth, but the ones that on the lips look like they just discolourations, white dots under the skin of her lips. They look more like milia. |

Milia can sometimes be caused by using heavy cream on the lips. My sister actually had lip milia a few years ago and was told to brush her lips with her toothbrush while brushing her teeth and then use a light lip balm like Hydro Care by Labello. She just gets the occasional one now. |

Hello my boyfriend has some white spots on his lips. I didn't think that there can be a problem with his lips and I kissed him. Today I realised that I have a spot on my lip as well. Does anyone know what it can be? |

the most common skin condition that causes white spots on skin is vitiligo.
First a light pale mark appear which slowly become whitish and enlarge in size.
As mention at vitiligoguide white-spots-on-skin this process is very slow of vitiligo development. Where us some other skin conditions also exist that cause white spots on skin.
Among them some diseases are related to the pigmentation problems ans some occurs due to other reasons. |
