Can I use Retinol on my neck? I have been using Skinceuticals Retinol .5 on my face, but stopping under my chin as the skin on my neck can be more sensitive than my face.

I've used retinol products, intermittently, (prescription retin-a,Skinceuticals 1.0, Renova) on my neck and have never experienced peeling or drying issues that I've had on my face. I do sometimes notice a little redness on my neck but not enough to stop applying. (I'm currently using Renova every other night, which is stronger than the Skinceuticals, but my skin is not sensitive, just dry) I also use a bit on the tops of my hands. I've noticed improvements in skin texture, tone on my neck and my hands with this. The skin on my neck is not as crepy.

I use my C+ Firming serum each AM on my neck and my Retin A 0.05% every night there. This routine has helped tremendously in doing away with the "rings" that can form there. I also always apply sunscreen there as well. Like our hands, it's an area that often gets overlooked in the anti-aging regimen but shows your age immediately when it is wrinkled.

i've been using avene dianeal (1.0) on my face, but found it too irritating for my neck so i switched to their eluage (which is .5) and may even get a more moisturising formual. it is definitely helping, but you need too keep an eye on how your neck is responding and perhaps use a lower dosage than on your face or perhaps buffer it. start out every other day or every few days, just like you did with your face. i never realised how sensitive the neck could be (very much like the under-eye area) until i had to run around with a pink blotchy neck for a week. be gentle.

and i definitely second the sunscreen recommendation!

I can only put sparingly....or I get red skin near the fold lines as the prdducts tend to migrate there.

That's what I was worried about. Redness in the wrinkled areas. I have decided to use it on my neck, but only every other time I use it on my face. Right now I use it every other night, so that will leave me using it on my neck once or twice a week. If that goes well, I'll try increasing it a little.

I use Tazorac (retinoid) on my neck as
well as my face. I have never had a
reaction or redness. I have no neck lines. I do test our every new product under my chin for 3 days before really using it. I have had allergic reactions before. The skin under your chin is tender and not very visible so it makes a good test zone.
