I decided I want to try out an antioxidant...I originally thought since I have mild rosacea it would irritate my skin, but I read that A lot of them have anti-inflammatories that soothe the skin. I've been eyeballing Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Antioxidant and got a sample from a lady on ebay. She was kind enough to send it for free, and I am still waiting to get it in the mail. Another lady suggest I try the paula's choice skin balancing antioxidant instead because its better for rosacea (?). If anyone has tried these I'd love to know..or if anyone has any tips on what antioxidants I should try. My skin is dry but can get oily in the t zone as well...ive tried combo type products but it makes the dry parts flake. grr |

Have you tried any of the Vit C formulations? Vit.C is one of the most potent antioxidents you can use on your skin. It is also very healing and protects the skin from all kinds of pollutants and sun damage! |

Hello,
I have never use Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Antioxidant, so I can't help you with that. I read good reviews about Vit C formulations. Please, post review about Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Antioxidant after you use it. |

Are you talking about the vitamin C serums? I'm not sure how they would feel on the skin...Do they soak INTO your skin? because i already have enough to deal with when i have mineral sunscreen on my skin but to add vitamin c if it doesn't soak in...that would not be good. Basically I just want to maintain my skin and hydrate it well. I heard serums are good at that..>I also would love to take vitamins like zinc or omega-3... |

Vitamins, zinc, and omega-3 are very good. I'm taking them. If you need just a good moisturizer for your skin, try Dermalogica Active Moist. It's sinks into your skin without leaving oily residue. It's made for oily skin, and very refreshing. |

Hi, has anyone used Juice Beauty Antioxidant Serum? I had a sample I used but I couldn't tell what the results would be over a period time...it did sink in nicely, though, and if I wasn't already using a C serum and various other products (I just can't fit in another thing) I might give it a try. Purpleturtle--this may be something to look into...it seems like a nice product and what you may be looking for |

Vitamin C serums generally sink in very quickly and well. That's what they are supposed to do ... and I suspect that's why they are in "serum" form rather than "lotion" form.
There is a very good recipe in the DIY section [thanks to our Carekate! ] ... and you can add Hyaluronic Acid to it to encourage more moisture retention ... as well as adding other antioxidants as you like.
The beauty of making your own serums is that you know exactly what's in them ... they save you tons of money ... and they are very effective because they are very fresh.
I don't think I'd ever go back to commercial antioxidant serums now. [I'm too frugal! ]
