Right now I'm looking for a glycolic product that's either 15 or 20% (right now I'm at 10 and think I can handle more). I'm looking for a reliable product that is also fairly affordable.
While we're all here, do people have suggestions/warnings about using higher strength glycolic? Will I be able to use it daily like I do my 10%? Are the side effects more drastic? And will it make a difference whether I choose 15 or 20%? |

Janis, I am curious as to what glycolic acid you use? |

MD Forte has higher glycolic levels. Have you checked them out yet?? |

I use a glycolic gel from Coats Aloe International... purchased through my esthetician. I am actually pretty happy with it but as far as I can tell through my Internet searches, it is not available for direct sale to the consumer... and I'd like to be able to get started with a product that I can purchase more easily by myself.
I will look into MD Forte. Anyone have any specific praises/complaints about this brand? |

The Gly Derm glycolic acid lotion is 10%; however, the pH is under 2. (I've tested it more than once.) There are other brands of glycolic acid this potent, but they are difficult to find!
The best part is: it's under $20. |

Hi
I use MD Forte III. It is the highest "they sell". It is 20%. I really notice a difference and it working, when I use the "brush" to get rid of all the dead skin, open pores then apply MD Forte III. I leave it sit on my face for a few minutes in the shower, so that it penetrates my skin surface. I noticed if I do exfoliate, then it seems to do nothing. Correct me if I am wrong ladies, but I thought the purpose of it is to regenerate cells |

I really don't know too much about the science of glycolic acid, i.e. the pH numbers. So 2 is a potent pH, for example? Would it be TOO high? |
