Has anyone here used both, and if so, could you give us a comparison between the two?
I use Retin A now (.025) for both anti-aging and acne. I've been using this strength for about 7 months and the results are OK, but I think my skin is ready for more. I'm wondering if it would be more effective to a) go with a stronger Retin A, or b) give Taz a try.
But I think a lot of us here would like to hear the general Taz vs. Retin A opinions.
* I'm calling it Taz because I don't know the spelling of the real name and I'm too lazy to look it up right now!  |

Hi There
I have tried both and have stuck to Retin A. I have found that Retin A actually seems to do the job better for me than (taz-I can not spell it either). Now that just maybe me, but what I use is Gyloc. Acid (20%) to cleanse, I then use a PH toner, and use Retin A for follow up. It seems to make my skin peel in areas that I have a break out, however the skin peeling is easy to "fix" with a little lotion. I find that my skin is smoother and appears more even. I notice that my blemishes (although less), seem to dry up and go away in record timing. I did not find that with Taz. I found that really dried my skin out with results. Now this is just me.... |

| That was a great question Bridget. I have been reading where some people swear Taz has helped with wrinkles rather quickly, whereas RA did nothing for them. I just read in Allure Mag where Dr. Brandt called Taz a hyped up RA (I took that to mean stronger and/or better working). I would love to try the taz, but I don't think you can order it online w/o a Rx. |
