This may have already been addressed but I am going to tell you my story anyway!
I suffered with bad skin on and off since I was 14/15 years old...up until I turned 30.
Been to specialists and doctors had tried most commonly used rememdies, anti-biotics etc etc - you know the story....
In March 2002 I developed a little bacterial infectious called Staphyoccul...something or other! This was in my nose! Went to my docs as this was extremely painful, the centre of my nose (the cartlidge felt like it was cracking)!! Anyway, he gave me Flucloxicilin. Within a week my nasal infection went, but something else happened... my terrible spots disappeared and EVERYONE noticed. So I carried on with the tablets for another 10 days and went back to the doc, who also noticed the difference and asked me if I had taken anything to clear my skin - I told him, no I gave up medication years ago as nothing worked, explained about the tablets for my nose infection and he simply said "so you must have had a soft tissue infection rather than acne"
Ok, so I was shocked that he was so matter of fact but over joyed that my skin seemed to clear. I am 34 now and have never had a breakout since. My skin is lovely, I still have a few pigment scars but I can even go out without make up.
Maybe it could work for others too.
I asked the doc to give me another prescription which gave me and I took for a further 28 days, but honestly my skin never got infected again. Maybe it is coincidence and maybe my skin was about to clear naturally, but I believe those tabs did something to stop the problem
Hope that might help someone else.

Okay, question. If you took the oral medicine that was prescribed to you for your "nose", and it cleared your acne? You said you have had acne is 14/15 years old. What is in Flucloxicilin that is not in any other, oral medicine, medicine topical etc that made your acne go away? And you said that you are not even taking the clucloxicilin any longer and you have no skin problems? I want it, sign me up? Can you explain more? |

Well I dont know, someone should find the ingredients. There is such a condition called "soft tissue infection" caused by bacteria and it affects sensitive skin. I dont have any clue why the flucloxicilins worked. They obviously killed something and the bacteria have never returned YES I have had the odd spot, but literally one spot, gone by the next day. I am not saying its a miracle cure for all, but I had been on Roacutane (didnt work), minocin (didnt work) tetracycline (didnt work), pan oxyl, quinoderm, cleaning my skin, not cleaning my skin, masks, anti-bitoics.....I still got clusters of red boils, all over my face and cheeks....then I take a simple penicillin and I am spot free, there has to be something in that. Even at my time of the month there is usually one spot and that has to be hormonal.
I will see if I can get the content of the tablets.
But maybe docs should try this with some sufferers, it might not work, but for me I wasnt even trying to sort my skin out and look what happened to me. |

thank you. I read your post and of course, as we all do with posts of products that we have not tried (and I tried EVERYTHING) I am always hopeful that I do will someday get as lucky as you to find my miracle cure?? Just curious if you find out ingredients. I always like to see if it is something I have not taken, ingested, swallowed, popped, rubbed on whatever...I think I have tried them all, and no miracle for me yet? |

I am sure you will, I got to 30 and was still having bad skin, I am amazed really when I think about it that I never had acne, I believe I just had sensitive skin and the tablets sorted it out. Maybe you should ask your doctor for something simple and give it a month, you never know it could just help. |

Thanks for the read...it was interesting. I have lost hope at 37. I have tried everything and I have been given every RX. Things have "helped" it and that is what I stick to. And this site of course, helps enlighten me on the fact that I am not the only one who has things we "don't" like about ourselves. |

Hi, new member here, but I wanted to say that my daughter developed a soft tissue infection mentioned in the article, folliculitis, on her bottom, from wearing diapers at night, and after much trial and error they finally put her on an antibiotic which cleared it up immediately. It however looked somewhat like acne, little whiteheads, but more like a rash. Eventually after all the treatments weren't working it had developed further onto her legs and belly, then they gave her the antibiotic. Unless you have a chronic case of acne with lots of whiteheads all over, I can't imagine mistaking this type of infection for ordinary acne. |

This is for Berquis... I had acne for 16 years from ages 13 to now I am 29. I had tried everything to treat it and I was beginning to think it would never go away. I was told it was internal and I had to purify my liver, blah, blah, blah. I started using Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel, Seaweed Cleansing Lotion and Control Cream which is a very thick protective cream. My acne is gone. I think it is due to this cream that is rather thick, but it seals off my skin and allowed it to heal. I'm not claiming these products are miracles, but they are the ONLY thing that has cleared my skin.
I think the soft tissue infection theory is very valid... I also think this thick cream protected my skin enough so it could heal itself much like a lipbalm heals cracked lips.
I don't know it just worked like a dream right from the start. I don't know if this will help you, but I pray it does. If it doesn't... just know that your solution is out there. Keep the faith!

Clindagel worked wonders for me. I had clear skin for most my life and then all of a sudden I started getting cystic acne on the sides of my face. After trying to fix it on my own for about 8 mos I finally went to a derm who put me on differin and glycolic acid which ended up burning my skin. So I went to another derm who gave me Dynacin and Clindagel. I decided to hold off on the oral and went with just the topical Clindagel (applied once a day) and it worked like magic! Now, I still get tiny bumps but they just come to the surface in a little hard "seed", instead of becoming cysts. |

I've been suffering from acne since I was 8 (I'm 26). I've tried Proactiv. It didn't clear up my skin but it sure made it oily. I thought I found the miracle when I found Serious Skin Care (it's available onwww.hsn.com andwww.tsc.ca). After years of having decent (not completely clear) skin, my skin flared up like there was no tomorrow. I'm currently using RoC PURIF-AC line. It's alright but those breakouts are still coming. I recently ordered Murad. I don't know what I'm going to do if that fails. |

you may want to try Yonka, from what I've read on EDS the stuff works miracles. Haven't tried it myself yet, but I have it on order, just be forwarned you can't buy through EDS because they won't ship outside of Canada, but I found it on another site. The Juvenil is supposed to be great! |
