I use arnica gel for muscle aches and especially bruises, and I was wondering if it would help undereye circles, too. Especially since there has been talk on the board about them (the circles) being a circulation/blood thing. Does this make sense to anyone else? I'm afraid to try it because the product I have has silicone oil in it and I don't want to break out. Maybe some other brave soul wants to try it out with something oil free? Tell me if I'm crazy, and if someone tries it let me know how it goes! |

Not crazy. Jurlique sells a product for this with arnica in it.
It's also an ingredient in some other eye gels for dark circles along with vitamin K, horse chestnut and other ingredients for circulation. I want to try one of them, but since mine are from blood vessels mostly I don't think anything short of laser surgery will totally get rid of them.
Here is one of them:

There are tons out there though, I don't know anything about that one. I would start googling it and asking around. |

I know that some of the Aussie girls on another forum recommend the Jurlique Arnica cream for dark circles. I've read that it's not moisturising enough (i.e. requires eye cream over the top) but does work on dark circles. |

I bought the Weleda body oil sampler today and it has the Arnica in it. Not the best smelling oil, but that is not what it is to be used for anyway. I also tried their Arnical gel sold espeically for bruises and cuts, but I will be buying from Europe where it is about EUR6 or so... here in Japan is equates to EUR13 !!!!! |

Also my eye surgeon suggests that one take arnica internally for bruising(proir to surgery)...makes me wonder if that might help those with dark circles under the eyes. |

Yeah, I first learned about Arnica (gel) when I had surgery. It was suggested to help speed healing in surgery bruises. Now I just keep it around because I'm so clumsy Everytime I bang myself on something I run straight for it. (It says to put it on as soon as possible after injury) It has prevented many bruises for me, and I bruise really easily. |
