hey!
i was using a cream called betnovate n for about 6 months, it is supposed to lighten skin as thats my aim lol. it worked but it thins the skin only slightly, i had clear skin but now have slightly raised bumps on my skin just little like little spots but under the skin, i was using clean & clean exfoliating wash, im not sure if it was the cream or wash that caused the spots as i was using the wash for years.
anyway now ive stopped using the cream i was interested in creams and gels with kojic acid but i dont want to touch anything with hydroquonine as its ruined my skin before. does anybody know if kojic acid is safe and effective to use, because its always associated with HQ so im not sure if its got the same ingredients or why its always linked with HQ. anyway could some help with this plz...
thanks alot in advance |

Hi LiTZ - Kojic acid is in a lot of skin lightening products, but it's not entirely without any adverse reactions either. Here's some data, and even if you don't understand all of the scientific terms, you can still get an idea of its properties and effects:

Interesting I suppose the glycolic helps the real actor penetrate. I haven't had a reaction to Kojic acid it just didn't do much maybe in combo with glycolic? |

Hi, Litz!
I'm new here but your kojic acid post caught my attention. Can you get Biomedic over there in the UK? It's by the creator of Philosophy but it's usually sold in physician's offices in the states. Some online retailers also sell this line.
At any rate, I know their conditioning solution has lots of kojic acid in it because I (unwittingly) used it years ago and it bleached the bejenkins out of my face. It works! I believe it also includes hydroquinone which also lightens facial skin.
Hope this helps!
