Hey ladies! I was just doing a little bit of thinking about Retin-A Micro (instead of doing school work ha) and its cell turnover magic. Seems like I could use this wherever I want new skin to form?
I read a post that SugarFreeSheila had responded to about her Keratosis Pilaris being cured within 5 days of applying Retin-A Micro.
I've also read online about people using it on stretch marks. They didn't really go into too much detail about how and when they applied it, but just said it worked.
And lastly, of course, acne. My skin's really sensitive and I know I'd never be able to tolerate the downsides of Retin-A. So my question is, would it still work if I spread out the applications to once every two weeks, then once every week, then twice a week, and so on and so on? Would that work? Yeah, I know it would be an incredibly slow process, but my acne is not severe.
Sheila -- how many times a day did you apply it to your KP?
All feedback is appreciated!

Hello
I suggest you start 3x a week if your skin is really sensitive. Then if you're getting used to it, u can try every other night.
I apply every night with little irritation. Results will show after a month, underneath the peeling skin is your "new skin". The thing with retin A is that all your uglies will come out in that one month, so you might think that your skin is actually getting worse; when infact, it is just turning the gook from under your skin. After the first month (28 days), I have gotten infrequent blemishes.
Another thing to note though, WEAR SUNBLOCK in the day time, because Retin A will make your skin senstive to Sun photo damage.
Goodluck! |

My Retin A level was recently increased from .05 to .1% and I am easing into it by using it every third night. So far, this is working well with no irritation and a few flakies. I am no expert, but I wonder if your skin would "forget" that you applied the Micro two weeks before? I think the point is to let your skin adjust to a new product, and I would be worried that two weeks would be just too long of a time span between applications. Maybe you could try twice a week to start?
