Gonna try the asprin mask, read a bunch of threads but theres no real continuity lol, got the asprin, someone mentioned water & honey aswell. So do you break open the tablets into the water, stir then add honey? |

You don't have to break open the tablets (make sure you have the uncoated aspirin). I usually put a bunch in the palm of my hand (about 7-8 works well for me). Then I drip in a few drops of water and in less than a minute you kind of smush them and they turn powdery. What you add into it varies, I haven't tried honey yet (the stickiness factor makes me hesitant). But I've added in some face lotion and I've also tried a bit of cleanser as well. And I know some people just use water, but I think the aspirin kind of flakes off and gets all over the place because there is nothing to make it stick to your face. I know someone swears by adding in some sour cream for the lactic acid, which I'm planning on trying myself.
I alternate between smearing it on my face and just kind of patting it into place. I let it sit for about 10-20 minutes, until it feels dry, or really however long you want. Then I get some water on my fingertips and exfoliate with it a bit and rinse.
I think one of the neat things about this mask is that it gives you a good chance to use up the face lotions and cleansers that you don't use anymore. It's economical all around!
HTH, good luck! |

no, ibuprofen won't work. It's the salicylic acid in the aspirin that does the magic! |
