Hi All!
I happened across your site while researching the TCA (at home) peel. I am usually not much of a sucker to Beauty Fix ads but I fell for one today. This TCA solution claims to be 100% pure. I researched it for over three hours and finally purchased it, after doing so (of course) I am starting to become concerned that there are different recommendations out there on what to use and how much (%) or even how long. I have seen many say that 25% is normal, however I have started to see that only 8% is recommended for beginners (like me). I plan to use this on pretty bad sun damage/sun spots and pigmentation discoloration on my shoulders and chest. Volleyball Spots (shoulders) is the term we have coined to describe it, in fact that is how I got them. I have a few on my shins too; this is where I planned to test.
I am white or more of an olive complexion. I am not comfortable doing this to my face, I am not sure I ever will be. I thought one of you gals might want to share a bit with me on what to do or how to do it. I didn't have the $$ to spend on this (Laser treatment at the tune of $250 every 15 minutes ) So I gave in and bought this solution. It states that you can dilute this solution ??? and I plan to do so at this point (The whole “I burnt my face off thread” really scared me!) I have not received it yet, but I thought I could get a few more realistic ideas, and suggestions here, if you don't mind!
How much do I start with? What worked for you?
What is the best plan of action? Preparation? Follow through?
Do I cover the entire area or do I just administer to the spots themselves? Some areas it seems it would be easier to just cover the whole area, but I am unsure????
I know that you are not doctors here I thought I might draw from your "at home" experiences. (Pick your brains!) Thanks! |
