I've been using this site just to show progress of Obagi and now City Lips.
You can see the before and after pics I have. I have been taking HA caps long before I started CL but you can see the difference after a month of using it. Actually in the pic I'd been using it longer than that but I started documenting on 3/1/06

Click on the pic and read the caption.
Now I uploaded the "before" pic first so it is on the right and the "after" is on the left. It is actually pretty obvious which is which though.
I have gloss on in both pics. |

I just added a couple of more pics. I found one taken years ago smiling. And when we smile, you know how much thinner our lips look. So the "before" pic is taken before I ever used any products for my lips. As you can see, I am not a really full lipped person. And I added another taken this morning of me smiling. |

Hi
Thanks for photo, really helpful to see results. One thing though and please don't be offended BUT in your after closeup shot, your mouth looks swollen around the lip area and the colour seems to have disappeared from your lips, is that the case?
I ask as I've just bought the night time city lips (if I remember to apply it). Can you get away with just using the night time stuff or do you need the day time stuff too?
Thanks

I mostly use the night time. I have some "minis" of 3 colors but rarely wear them.
So you had no trouble getting? Others said it prompted for a password. |

Man, what a difference...Are you still taking the HA pills??? Or is this just from the CL?? |

i have honestly seen absolutely no results from the city lights. I do not take the HA pills though. I really doubt that I would reorder the city lights |

I was taking HA capsules for like 3-4 weeks before I started using City Lips I think. Maybe that has something to do with it. |

Wen-
Are those photos for REAL?!!! It looks like you had collagen injections! You have given me hope!! I have some HA capsules which I will begin taking again. How many do you take a day?
I am thinking of collagen injections, but now maybe I won't! Your results are truly impressive! WOW! |

I swear I had no injections. Keep in mind this is early in the morning, when they are the most plump. Even before I used CL, they were more plump in the AM after taking HA caps at night. But not THIS plump. It does go down a little bit later on but still looks damn good.
I just think this combo is what is making it so good for ME. I'm not gonna expect everyone to have the same results. We've learned that. But it is working very well for me . |

All I can say is WOW! I just bought something called Lethal Plump by Rock Hard Cosmetics. It is supposed to work like City Lips build collagen over 30 days. I am going to compare the ingredients with City Lips. I just took an HA capsule tonight Maybe I should just get the City Lips?? I just can't get over those before & after photos! I would have guessed for certain that it wasn't natural if I didn't know! |

Erin - Are you only taking one a day? If so, that would probably be the reason for a lack of results. I know the pills vary, but with most of the brands out there you should be taking at least two per day. To maximize your results you should start at 4/day for about a week. The amounts are posted in Carekate's original post "Eureka - I've found the ultimate lip plumper" thread. I forget which page though. |

Wow--that's quite impressive! I took the Source Naturals HA supplements (the whole bottle) for awhile but ran out and have been lazy about picking up another. But that was last month. In the meantime, I began using City Lips every morning and night (about two weeks) and have only now noticed a real difference in the fullness of my lips. They're more filled-out and pillowy. I guess if I started taking the HA again, I'd get quite the smacker |

Oh my God yes. And in two MORE weeks if you both taking the HA acid and applying CL you'll definitely see the difference. |

I really like City Lips as well, also lipfusion. I tried a lip plumper from Too Faced, but it stung too bad, but it did work. |

One thing about all sizes, it is hard to get the last bit out. So use a Q-tip to do that.
When you get close to the end of the clear, look on ebay again to get more. That is best to use as the night treatment. It won't take long to get through a mini for treatments. |

Ok, I'm curious about the older photos and the blotchy looking skin pic's. Big difference from using "What". Looks fantastic..I think you said botox, but what else. I am not going to get Botox, but very curious what helped you with your skin AND what was your major concerns before doing what you did.
Thanks,
K |

I had terrible sun damage and my last pregnancy really did it with the spotting. (mask of pregnancy) That was after only like 7 weeks of Obagi.
There are products with 4% Hydroquinone in it and one with that and other ingredient to mix with Retin A to help it penetrate deeper. I'm still on it and my skin is not only cleared up but firmer, lines have diminished and more color in my face.
You do at least 3 6 week cycles I'm in my third cycle and will go on maintanence and use it all 3 nights a week.
Obagi.com has other before and after photos.
It addresses acne and acne scarring as well. |

Well I must say you look fabulous. Your skin looks great to me. I too have sun damage and wrinkles and just uneven skin. I have broken capilliaries on my cheeks that I guess would tend to make my skin look uneven and such. But, thanks for replying I think your skin looks very clear and beautiful. So you use the Obagi line for particular problems and retin a?
Thanks,
K |

I just bought some city lips and they arrived yesterday. I bought the clear night treatment and VieHenna colour.
I wore the Vie Henna during the day but although I got a mild tingle couldn't say I saw anything happen - BUT this colour has good coverage so is a little intense for me for day so I was only using a sheer wash of it (I have just won a mini in a clear pinky colour for day off Ebay). I used the clear treatment last night.
I woke up this morning and was wandering about making coffee etc - then I caught my reflection in the mirror - OMG! It looked like I'd had collagen - seriously after ONE treatment! In fact I actually thought it was too obvious!
It has settled a little as the day has worn on but there is still a definate improvement - I am really impressed - I have tried SO many lip treatments and been disappointed - the ones that made a difference immediately tended to irritate my lips and dry the out and weren't effective long term. The ones that were supposed to work long term certainly improved my lip condition but made little noticeable difference to the plumpness.
Still after seeing the results in the pics above and being an eternal optimist I had to try CityLips.
Really impressed - I hope the longer term results are as good!
(PS - I haven't taken the HA capsules I was worried about the reports of ears and noses being affected too!LOL!).

There were a couple of reports that noses and ears seemed to grow too!! Kind of worried me a bit! There was one on here - did a search but couldn't find it off hand. |

Wendy, thanks for posting the pics. I've used City Lips Clear for about 2 years. I apply it at least 4x a day, like you would use a chapstick. I have thin lips to begin with and I haven't noticed much plumping. It has smoothed out my lips. I do like how it feels on the lips and you don't have the awful rebound effect as with Chapstick where you have to use it constantly, I am wondering if all these products can only bring back what we've been naturally given. Your lips look fantastic. Were they full when you were younger? I'm thinking the same thing with the ARdell, Lucia, etc. if you didn't have thick eyelashes or brows to begin with, can these products really do that much? Maybe this explains why some people have great results, some so-so results and no results. Any opinions? |
