I worked with these foundations for a long time at Sophora, almost 3 hours in the store total ...trying different application methods, shades, layering...shopping in between to see how they settled, checking shades, coverage and finish in different lights, back & forth & back. I prefer the liquid w/ a foundation brush and the compact w/ a mmu-style full brush. They both come w/ sponges.
These foundations (sunscreens) are the best for me *fingers crossed* for negating the shine inherent to physical sunscreens. Low, very do-able shine. Nice medium coverage...that would be nothing w/out the very natural finish. Coverage, Finish, Sunscreen ~ Oh My! Should help my nicely protected face match my slightly (fake or naturally) tanned body. And the compact powder foundation can be applied lightly to take shine off my Skinceutical Physical on those major sun days.
Also purchased the Shiseido Sun Protection Lip Treatment SPF 36...packaged like a tube of lipstick. Will use on my upper eye lids too....think if I carried it around it would melt quickly...sure I'll try though...or forget.

I LOVE this stuff too but the scent just about did me in, my eyes watered while I wore it, non-stop. |

Used the Shiseido lip protection spf 36 today in hours of warm sunny weather. On the lips it goes on feeling moisturizing but after a bit changed to a dry feel. Layering it w/ another product helped. Bonus: It has a slight frosty sheen to it (the zinc) but under the brow (I used it for upper eyes too) and over a lip color it's actually cosmetically very nice. It has good stick (lipstick consistency) so it doesn't slide down and in the eye.
I'm spending too much on lip care products to let the sun ruin them. |
