I purchased this duty free last July. This lotion has a very nice light milky texture and smells like heaven.
I dont wear a lot of makeup so can't comment on its ability to remove a heavy duty face but it is a very gentle and refreshing cleansing milk.
The directions say to wipe off with damp cotton pads or a wash cloth, before rinsing with water. If not wearing make up I think you could just rinse off (which is my preferred method for removing cleansing lotions) and after a light towel-dry the skin does not feel greasy at all.
Skin feels very soft and smells very pretty after use too!
Ingredients: water, herbal extract mixture from: horsetail-lavender-rosemary-calendula officinalis-witch hazel-marshmallow, caprylic/capric triglyceride, alcohol, safflower seed oil, glycerin, clyceryl stearate citrate, hydolyzed soy protein, avocado oil, cocoglycerides, lethin, beeswax, hydroxymethylglycinate, lavender oil, xanthan gum, orange oil, lactic acid, grapefruit seed extract, wheat bran extract, lemon peel oil, Vitamin E.
Very nice cleanser indeed! I rate it right up there with the Epiderm cleansing silk, Thalgo delicate skin cleanser (both of which do wash off better without a cloth) and Eve Lom (the worlds best cleanser IMHO). |

i have to say, i agree with you. i tend to use a foaming cleanser, or jurlique cleansing cream, but found this product to be lovely and soothing, but effective. i almost switched permanently! i guess i am addicted to the feel of the cleansing cream though. |

Mabsy, if you love the smell of this then you will die for the deep penetrating cream mask (I think I got that name right) as it smells the same!! |

Yes, I saw you mention that. I'm trying to repress that thought so I don't feel like buying it duty free next week.... I'll try to get a sample though. Oh I'm so weak! |

Has anyone actually used the cleansing lotion from Jurlique to remove make-up? The bottle says it removes make-up but I had only ever used as a general cleanser (rarely use foundation but when I do I remove with oil cleanser or Eve Lom).
But the other day I did use foundation which meant that after application my left hand was covered in pencil streaks, powder shakes, foundation patches .. a real artists pallete. I grabbed the Jurlique and pumped it onto the hand to remove my art, but it took absolutely NOTHING off. The foundation remained and the pencil streaks barely lightened. In the end I had to follow with a pump of cleansing oil which took it off instantly.
So, just as a follow up, I would not recommend this for removing make-up. |

I have a travel size of this that I got a month or so back in GWP (when I caved on their mask and another cleansing cream ). I agree that the smell is gorgeous - it's a really nice and gentle cleanser overall actually. When I'm wearing mineral makeup or the Dr Hauschka makeup, I just massage this on a damp face and rinse off. No makeup residue on the cotton pad with toner afterwards. It takes off Dr Hauschka mascara effortlessly, but then again just water does that with that particular mascara so it's no great feat. It doesn't do so well with eyeliner. I usually use either mineral or normal (Stila) shadows to line my eyes and this was removing only some of those. It had even more trouble with the standard MAC pencil eyeliner. Having said that, this is when I cleanse and just rinse it off. If I cleanse and use a warm washcloth to wipe it off then generally the eyeliner comes off as well. I do agree with you though - not a cleanser you should rely on if you're wearing much makeup. |
