I have tried Double Lash and while it's a perfectly okay lash conditioner (to pamper brittle, dried-out or otherwise abused lashes--this esp. applied if you use waterproof mascara all the time), I didn't find it made a big difference in lash growth. It just made my lashes healthier and softer. What I really did like was Lucia Lash Essence (only available in Japan, as far as I know, though you can order it through eBay)--look it up elsewhere in the site and you'll read lots of raves. This is the only lash growth serum-type thing I've tried (and I've used the Mavala, Talika Lipocils, Ardell, and Dream Lash so far) that has actually, visibly, increased the length and density of my lashes. It's not an enormous difference, but it is significant. It's more expensive than Mavala (around 35 USD depending on where you get it) but way cheaper than the Jan Marinni stuff.

A bit late but I've gotta put in a vote for the Mavala. It's helped stop my lashes from falling out and after I first started using it, about a month later I noticed there were baby lashes showing up especially among my rather sparse lower lashes. It's a HG, I'm on my 4th bottle!

Speaking as someone who has tried nearly all of the lash growth serums available out there, I can authoritively say that you can get the same affect as Mavala by using Ardell Lash & Brow Growth Accelerator (because the active ingredients are VERY similar), which is around ten dollars cheaper!

Thanks for the Ardell rec. I'll have to see whether it's available here in Canada. That's one of the attractions of the Mavala, it's easily accessible at London Drugs here Smile
