So, I went to the local pharmaca today and talked to the store esthetician. She recommended me to try astara. Has anybody ever try it? What is your result?

Thank you - I was about to ask this question as I just noticed that EDS stocks it and I recall someone recommending one of their masks to me. Problem is I can't remember if they recommended the blue flame or the violet flame |

mabsy: it is probably blue flame. I got a few samples from a local store. Since nobody replies to this thread, maybe I will try these samples and see hot it is. |

mabsy: My bad. Aparently there is also violet flame and golden flame?.
Somehow my memory recalls somebody saying you can use the blue flame for spot treatment for acnes. |

I've actually gone through some of my emails to try to figure out which one it was but I can't find the relevant message. It was definitely not the golden one - I keep thinking it was violet... I'll have to try to get some samples as well next time. Please let me know if you end up trying any of their products. |

makeupalley.com has reviews of the masks. I'm tempted by the mask kit.... |

The blue flame mask is the most famous one although not everybody gets good results. The antioxidant infusion has nice review at MUA.
This just reminds me I do have different samples from this brand but I never get a chance to try them yet. |

i have used several astara products in the past.
comments from what i can recollect:
-i liked the cleansing gele - very light, don't remember if it dried me out.
-exfoliant - was definitely too harsh for me to use everyday (as they suggest)...a gentle hand is a must with this.
-clay-based masks (blue, violet, green) - were too harsh for my skin, and at the time i was relatively unsensitive
-hydrating mask - absolutely loved this...smeared it all over (eyes too!)

Thanks for the feedback ladies. I was tempted by the mask set as well and would have bought it if it had the blue and violet in there... The MUA reviews don't excite me enough to buy a full size without sampling first so I shall try to get hold of some |
