MAC blush brush and everything else is merle norman. I dont mind the merle norman brushes. I do want to buy all Mac or another great line so i will watch this thread to see what everyone uses.

As an add on to this I would like to know what everyone thinks is their favorite line to use for brushes.

Most of my brushes are Bobbi Brown. I've had them for a very long time and they're still in great condition. They're very soft and I like the way they deposit color.

I use the B.E. Kabuki brush for my powder foundation but Rosebud keeps tempting me to look into the Jane I. brushes. Very Happy I'm getting very close to trying them.

I don't use many brushes:

Jane Iredale Handi for foundation
Bobbi Brown Concealer for under-eye concealer
Stila Slanted brush for eyeliner

Very occasionally, I'll also use the brush at the end of my Molton Brown lip-liner to apply lipstick.

I have a bunch of brushes, but don't always use all of 'em ... and sometimes I switch around ... depending upon my mood. I often hit the brush section in Art Stores ... you get fabulous brushes for far less than name brand makeup brushes ... Very Happy

- goat hair kabuki [2]
- pony hair blush brush/powder brush [4]
- fiber optic brush [which I use for foundation and finishing powder]
- 4 taklon brushes [2 large, 1 medium & 1 small]
- sable eyeshadow brushes [3]
- assortment of nylon liner brushes [several of differing widths]
- nylon lip brushes [several of differing widths]
- large powder brush for finishing

I use the BE brushes ~kabuki and flawless face ~ for foundation application. I also use the BE max coverage concealer brush for my Pure Luxe banana and what red corrector.

I like MAC eye brushes.I am in love with the 208 small slanted brush which at the time of purchase I was unsure of. Its a great and I use it almost every day. 217 is a good blending brush. I use 213 for everyday use, would say if someone is looking for a MAC brush, this is the one you need. I purchased from Target a Sonia Kashuk eyeshadow brush ~ other than being a litter shorter ~ it is almost identical to the MAC 213.

I have a big Prescriptives finishing brush that I like to use for blush application. And I also like their bronzer brush.

Mine are mostly Quo (shoppers drug mart brand) I do have one brow brush from MAC, another brow brush from Smashbox, and my foundation brush is prescriptives.

I use quite a few different brands, Chantecaille, MAC, Laura Mercier, Shu Uemura, Napoleon, Becca.... just to name a few, i'd say the best ones would be the Laura Mercier ones.

PBI, I'm not Mary but taklon is a type of synthetic bristle. The taklon brushes are used for creamy or oil-based cosmetics as they can take harsher cleansing methods than the natural bristle brushes. Often the bristles are an orange color.
