Just got my new order of the IS Clinical Proheal Serum in from EDS. The bottle and the serum is now green. My last 2 bottles that I bought in July (1 for myself & 1 for my son) from theskincareinstitute before EDS carried it were amber-colored bottles and an amber-colored serum. It even felt a little different going on and not as heavy or as "dewey". Any thoughts or opinions anyone? |

Hi Annie
I just received this product about a week and a half ago, and mine was amber glass w amber fluid. I ordered from EDS, so am not sure why some of them would be green. Is the green bottle darker? Maybe this is for better protection, although I'm not sure why the serum itself would be green. Maybe try e-mailing ISC to see if they have changed their formula recently. You may just have a newer product than mine. I am very curious about this now. Please let me know what you find out! Thanks. |

I got a sample from EDS with my most recent order and although I don't recall the vial color the serum was of a green tint. Being that I never had used it before I just assumed this was the color it was supposed to be. I love the texture of this serum as it has more slip than the SS. Hope you find some answers Annie, I'm curious to know which version is the most "recent". |

Well the email from IS stated that it can be a different color but they have not changed formulas so there you go. |

Huh? What exactly do they mean by this???
It's kind of like saying "yeah, our serum comes in colours of yellow and green, based on your preference"... ? Or does the serum turn green? I'm pretty sure mine was yellow and in an amber vial. |

My Mother (the health nut) gave me an idea about this tonite that kind of sounds logical. She looked at my bottle and immediately thought that it could be the olive leaves they are using. She said that some leaves have more chlorophyll in them than others and that they may just be using different olive leaves, hence the green tinge. What do you think? Does this sound plausible? |

I don't know about the olive leaves-it does sound plausible...I remember a while ago there was an issue on the boards about the change in texture in one of the creams-not sure if it was the moist. or the firming. I called IS & they told me basically that since they don't use preservatives, there may be texture changes from batch to batch & that most people actually like the lighter texture of that batch. I'll try to find that post...
Found it:

Sportygirl - I think that makes sense, particularly with the post Marina just pointed out... Thank you. |

I had purchased two bottles of Proheal from another supplier prior to EDS stocking ISC and on both occasions, the colour was a very light green. After using for a couple of months, it changed to a light yellowish colour. |

Sorry for the vague post-I should have just posted his EXACT reply (was rushing out the door to meet my son at the dr.'s and ran out of time!) Copied from his e-mail reply:
"Thank you for your inquiry. Each batch of the Pro-Heal Serum will vary slightly in color depending on the time of year the raw materials are harvested. The only way to avoid this variance is to use dyes, and we do not use dyes or preservatives in our products. (There has been no change in the formula.)"
It makes no mention of the bottle color change but that didn't really matter. |
