I went shopping the last couple of days and got what I needed to make the OCM, ACV toner, Aromessence oil, and have ordered what I need for Vit C serum. I started this routine last night.
I was a little skeptical at first, when I first read about using oil as a cleanser. I'd tried using grapeseed oil once last summer, and I'd wound up having to use a foaming cleanser over it. I read on here the instructions for using OCM, and I followed it exactly. Last night, I don't think I rinsed as much as I could have because I still felt a little moist after I'd finished with it all. It wasn't bad, but I didn't feel as "clean" as I wanted to. But I thought I'd try again this morning and try maybe rinsing the washcloth more and wiping my face a few more times. I also "steamed" my face twice, as it seemed no time that the cloth cooled off. I used the toner and the Aromessence and then put on mmu after everything had soaked in well. It's now been about 5 hours later and I've only had to blot once! With the routine I used to follow for my skin, I'd have already by now not only blotted several times, but I'd have reapplied oil-control powder and I'd still be shiny.
I also talked DH into letting me try it on him, as he has oily skin as well. He still looks fresh - no oilies!
I haven't yet tried the aspirin mask, but I'm going to have to wait on that. I'm having surgery on April 24, and I'm not allowed to use aspirin (even topically) until afterward. But that will definitely be something I'll use as soon as I'm allowed to do so!
And I actually, believe it or not, don't mind the smell of the Bragg's ACV. I added the Ylang Ylang and lemon EO's, and it smells clean and fresh.
I'm so glad I found this site! |
