Remember the photolagen we were wondering about a while back? The possibly too good to be true miracle serum. Well, EDS is now carrying it. Now what do we do. Is was easier to avoid when it was hard to get...if this makes sense |

Yeah, I know! I noticed that the other day. Unfortunately they didn't have any samples of it when I placed my order and I'm feeling too guilty to buy a full size of anything "non-essential" at the moment.
I have heard good things about the photolagen and also know someone who swears by the body cream from Amino Genesis.... I'm sure someone will cave and try it |

I, of course, your friendly neighborhood sucker for a new product, have used Photolagen. Went through a whole bottle, and bought another - but never saw the "miracle". It smells good and absorbs well, but it really didn't help my brown areas at all. Could be that mine was more hormonal (melasma) than sun damage - which the Photolagen is supposed to help.
No breakouts or anything like that though! I still have some left in the second bottle, so of late I've been squirting a tiny bit in my hand and mixing it with my JB C&C serum. We'll see if that helps anything.
The Aminogenesis products are nice - but in my experience, nothing overly special. (I have also tried their other serum and their night moisturizer! - I DID use all of each of those products which means I must have liked them somewhat as usually if I don't like something it goes in the skincare graveyard - which is my bottom drawer in my bathroom!
I hope if any of you try them, that you have much better success than I did!

Mabsy:
I remembered reanding a post regards Amino Genesis lately but can't find it any more. You said you're using the Photolagen now. Would you mind telling me where do you fit it into your morning / night routine. I purchased the whole line because they suggest not to mix other products with theirs. But I want to use Vit C now and I'm sure I'll use up the Repair Formula first and using other cream instead. What ingredients should I avoid when using Photolagen?

Hi Cheryl - I only have a sample so I guess me saying that I "use" it is slightly too strict but I actually would put it over my vit C serum. I don't have that problem as I use it at night and I prefer to use my C serum in the mornings. However, if I were to use both then it'd be vit C serum, Photolagen and then either tinted sunblock or moisturiser and sunblock.
Re: mixing products. I generally don't believe companies when they say that you shouldn't mix their products with others unless they have some pretty strong actives in their products or they have copper peptides. |

I have used Photolagen for a while now and I just use it over the top of everything else except sunscreen which is always last. I use it as a moisturiser so I don't use any other type of moisturiser. I also use it over the top of Perfect Reflection. I have never had any problems and only found that these products are very soothing to my skin and never cause breakouts. |

Thank you Mabsy!!
I called Amino Genesis and was told I CAN use any other product with their line BUT I have to put all their products FIRST. Adding Vit C serum after the moisturer??? She must be kidding. I'll follow Mabsy's suggestion - Vic C serum and Anti-Aging Serum. I was told to use the Anti-Aging Serum in the morning (to protect) and Photolagen in the everning (to repair) if I have both. I've been using the whole line for almost 1 month but can not see any improvement yet.
Bushy: What's your result by putting Photolagen the last?

As I haven't used Photolagen and the Anti Aging Serum exclusively, I can't say if they have provided any significant improvements in my skin just by themselves. I just love them as moisturisers which are very good for oily skin. I recently started using a retinol product and did not apply anything over the top of it. The next day my skin felt a bit irritated so I just piled on the Anti Aging Serum and Photolagen and all irritation and redness disappeared. Now I have no problems with the retinol product so long as I use Amino Genesis on top.
I never thought to ask in what order to use them so I just used them last like you would any moisturiser. |

I ummmmed and arrrred about it for a while after really liking the sample. I finally caved (the discount helped ) and bought this. I'm looking forward to using this at night (I think I might use it over a Decleor oil for a change) and updating on the results in about a month or two |

Well this is yet another product you guys have talked me into. I just placed an order for it and a trial pack of their other 5 products. EDS didn't have the trial pack and I could only find it through goddess-within.com, but at only $29.95 I figured it was worth a shot too. I'll report my results as well.

I'm convinced as well. This will be in my next order. Thanks so much for the reviews. What an invaluable resource to people like me with sensitive skin. |

What did Photolagen do to your skin? What improvement did you see?
Thanks! |

Well, I don't know if I see any specific improvement. Like Bushy, I am using this as a moisturiser and I really love the texture and how it feels on the skin. I'm using this as a preventative rather than for fixing anything existing. One thing that I have noticed recently is the fact that I have almost faded into non-existence a broken cappilary that was on the right side of my mouth. It was small but used to be purple, now it's hardly visible when I look close up in the mirror. However, I have also been using the Replenix CF serum and various IS Clinical samples so I cannot confidently say which product was responsible. |
