This has to be the worst pollen season ever. This morning, my eyes looked like I had gone 9 rounds with Mike Tyson.
I'm too frustrated and sniffly to do a search of the forum, so can anyone recommend the FASTEST way to relieve eye puffiness in the morning? Prep-H has never worked for me, and I don't have time to fuss with tea bags. Anything else that works FAST?!
Please please help!
(Me, indoors, if I can't find something that works....) |

Origins, No Puffery~ works for me...I don't use it often but when I do it works fast. Tube reads: No Puffery, Cooling mask for puffy eyes...Apply to undereye area, leave for 5 - 10 minutes, tissue off. |

I have used and liked Clarins Skin Smoothing Eye Mask. Also depuffs within 5-10 minutes. |

I have used st. ives cucumber gel for a quick fix with puffiness, anything with cucumber in it, also I like rosehip seed oil as it is kind of cooling as well as emu oil which is an anti-inflammatory and is soothing to the skin (as long as it does not contain any vitamin E in it!!!) |

I wanted to thank you so much for this recommendation. Getting to a department store is a bit of a grind for me because I have to drive down the most heinously busy street in my city, and I was too impatient to order on-line, so going around the block to the local drugstore and buying something so cheap and effective was a godsend. This stuff works eerily well and fast.
I appreciate the other recommendations and plan to sample on a less hurried - save my eyes FAST - basis! |

I had the most horrible fight with my sister last night and cried buckets (we're fine now)...needless to say my eyes were beyond puffy this morning. I dabbed some of NewCo's Hyaluronic Acid Gel with Aloe and they started to de-puff in half an hour, and gone in an hour. I find that hyaluronic acid is just great for tightening any saggy skin. |

good old ICE is great for a fast depuff. Wrap a few cubes in a thin towel and lay down for a few minutes or as long as you can stand with ice on eyes. |

LandB,
I REALLY feel for you! for three years I spent summer in VT, my favorite place on earth. BUT the worst place on earth for my allergies... I ended up in the hospital a while back, since all my mucous membranes were so swollen, my body felt like it was going into shock. The two best things I can recommend, which indirectly help the eyes, are sinus cleansing with a bulb pump or neti pot on a regular basis (warm water with 2 parts salt/1 part baking soda, but only about a teaspoon total per 8 ozs, and purge the sinuses in the shower), and this wonderful product called nasocort, which will fix you right up. I take allegra 2x daily and use nasocort once a day, and since i've been religious about it my eyes have been less puffy and less red! If I don't do this, my eyes are ringed with red and totally swollen. Also, another thing that helps is INNoxa "gouttes bleues" from France--homeopathic eye drops that de-toxify anc tone the eyes w/o any ingredients that cause blood vessels to constrict, etc., or similasan "allergy eyes," which is more readily available in drugstores. I used to swear by these eye drops, since i was told that one can control allergies but not their effect on your eyes, but that is clearly untrue--i'm living proof--I am basically allergy-free right now, and my eyes are too. but for immediate relief these soothing eye drops are a must...
I HTH! |
