I am going to start my 1st yoga lesson very soon and still browsing for a good yoga mat. I notice that the price of a yoga mat can range from $19.99 to more than $50 in lulumoon. Some of them are about 0.5 inch thick while some are only 0.3 inche only. I am not sure how to pick one. Can anyone tell me how to determine a good yoga mat? Thanks........ |

Invest some $$ on a good yoga mat is very important. Get the thick one and the one has some textures on it so it won't slip while holding postures. The one from Target does not work ($15), mine is about $40. With good care it will last you a long time. |

Do you live in an area where there are TX Maxx stores or Marshalls? They seem to carry the thicker mats for about $20 that would normally cost $40. I agree that the Target mats are not thick enough, but the Target mat carriers, which have a pocket for ties, are really nice. |

Look for sales! I got a $20 mat for $10, and it's great. Thick with a lot of traction. I bought it at Meijer, if you happen to live in an area where you have one. |

Thanks everyone. I finally bought a middle priced one. I started my class and I am very enjoy it. It is good.
This time, the instructor asked us to buy a yoga ball. How should I determine a good yoga ball? Should I invest? or just buy a cheap cheap one
Thanks~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
