Hello
My name is Jane I'm from the UK.
A while ago my brother bought me a Goodie Box sampler from Anita Grant for my birthday & I must say that I am extremely happy with the results!
My Lush days are over.
I have extremely thick, dry, curly hair and have tried almost every product available but her Whipped Butter Lemon Sponge Cake left my curls sooo soft and bouncy. I almost wanted to eat my hair it smelt so tasty.
Then I tried her Lippy Pucker lip balm (also in the Goodie Box) - WOW!
I applied it once in the morning and didn't need to apply it again until after lunch but I have to say that it was hard not to lick my lips as the Lippy had real chocolate in it.
I still have the Conditioner cubes left and they too smell like chocolate.
I think that it's the best gift my brother has purchased for me.
I noticed that she has pure Papaya Oil too which I would like to try but can't afford right now.
Anyway, just thought I would share this with you. |

Hi, Jane!
rosebud and I, and a few others here, are also from the UK.
Those products sound good enough to eat!
Actually, talking of curly hair, I've just bought a new hairdryer from Babyliss - a Colour and Curls Radiant Heat Dryer. I'm hoping it will help my curly hair to dry a little faster when I'm in a hurry - but without the frizz of a conventional blower dryer. (I usually just let it air dry naturally at the moment, but it takes hours and hours and hours.)
Will be posting a review of it when I finally get around to using it.
Wish me luck! |

Welcome Jane - I use anita's goodies as well.
There's nothing else like her products - she loves organic quality oils and makes everything fresh.
You'll enjoy the rhassoul condish - it will leave your hair soooo soft . |

Hello
thank you for the warm welcome!
tisa I have used her Rhassoul deep condish and you were spot on with your feedback!
I was impressed that I gave her a call and she is such a lovely lady.
She told me that she will be getting some Black Cocoa Butter in and making a Black Cocoa Butter skin cream with it - my face was like
When I told her about this forum and about the comments she mentioned that she had spoken to another lady named tisa, don't know if you are her but she mentioned that she made a natural curly hair styling mousse for tisa to test last year & this tisa fell in love with the product.
Is she referring to you?
I did ask if I could be a tester for her Black Cocoa Butter skin cream - gotta ask because her stuff is so lovely!
Did I mention the lip balm... LORD HAVE MERCY!
I wanted to eat it. It left my dry-chapped lips so lovely and soft...
I hope she considers me for testing purposes. |

Hi, I too have curly thick hair. After about 15 years of looking, I have finally found the right products for my hair.
I manage my curls by washing my hair only every 4th day with Goldwell Kerasilk Ultra Rich Treatment (leave in for at least 5 mins then wash out), than apply Pantene Conditioner to close the cuticle and rinse in COLD water. If you need to use a shampoo only wash the scalp and use a PH nuetral shampoo. After drying you hair, apply some Goldwell curly hair cream to settle any frizz (not too much). After about an hour dry your hair with a hairdryer with diffuser attached and I will GUARANTEE that your hair will be shiny and bouncy.
I also use Mathew James ResQ spray for during the day. This spray won't leave any residue in your hair and it won't feel sticky like most leave in sprays.
Hope this helps...... |

Hi all. I just joined today and couldn't resist logging onto this thread as I have very dry, thick curly hair that turns to fuzz on a foggy day (I live "across the pond" from the UK on the Canadian Atlantic coast and we get our fair share of fog and humidity).
I've used Uan's Crema Hair Conditioner for years and it has always helped with the dryness. A flat iron helps take out some of the volume. But on a foggy, rainy day, only an elastic band can tame my hair!! I will have a look at some of the recommended products you all have listed here. |

hi, my name is Janice. I read some of your comments about dry curly hair. I have bonde, fine, curly hair. More like springs. My hair is super curly and can get very dry.
However, I use infusium leave in conditioner almost everyday unless my hair gets to soft to manage. I also use I.C.O.N. shampoo..works amazing! Super moisture.
To get rid of the frizz I use KMS curl up gel spray or Mesh structuralizing cream by I.C.O.N. I change shampoos and creams every now and then, but always stick to the leave in conditioner. Hairstylists can't believe how healthy my hair is.
Hope this works for you! |

I have dry, natural curly hair as well. The same kind of spiral curls as that Greek actress, Melina ? who plays in CSI and Providence. My favorite line by far is Suddz FX, it quenches my hair thirst, curls are soft and well-defined. For more detail, check this link for the review...

I'm intrigued by the Anita Grant. Honestly, I haven't been all that impressed with the Lush haircare line. The rehab deep treatment was pretty good, but the smell gets to me after a while.
I've been using the Devacurl no-poo instead of shampoo and it's helped a lot. My curls are less frizzy since I've cut back on the traditional shampoo. I'm absolutely dependent on Bumble and Bumble super rich conditioner. I don't know what I'd do it it was discontinued. For product, I've been into the KMS curl-up line lately. The curling balm helps ensure that my curls are well defined and the curl control balm keeps things soft and has a little hold. I could probably add something with a bit more hold to the mix, but I'm getting a haircut soon so I'll see what my stylist recomends. |

juliejulie, I've tried the KMS curlup line as well and while it's not my HG, by rotating with my SuddzFX every three months or so, it seems to make everything more effective.
I started rotating products every 3 months or so after my stylist said it's good to change products; a few on the longhaircommunity forum also recommend a rotation when products seem to stop working. Many herbalists also recommend the "pulse method" for herbal tonics and supplements. Reintroducing your skin, hair and body to products after a short break, is supposed to increase their effectiveness. |

Athena,
I'm probably due for a switch up on the styling products (whenever I stray for the B&B super rich I regret it, so I don't rotate conditioner anymore) Does the SudzFX have products that are similar to the curling balm and control creme? It looks like a lot of their styling products say that they "volumize". I've got so much hair, volumizing is the last thing I need

julie, the only styling product I use is the Zenyth serum. Everything else I use is DIY. [which will be posted in that section very shortly] I agree the last thing I need is extra volume! |
