After reading all these posts about LipFusion and CityLips, I wanted to start a new topic doubting not their cumulative effects but their short terms effects too. I was really curious about these products so I finally bought them.
I started with LipFusion and after applying it on my lips what I noticed was a plumping sensation, the so called numbing sensation mentioned here. BUT the volume of my lips was the same. What had changed was that with lip gloss on, you have that illusion of fuller lips, as well as its ingredients that somehow fill in some of the lip lines (little wrinkles that lips have) making them possibly a bit pillow-er. But these were extremely minor changes, of course not altering the size of my lips.
After a month or so, I thought maybe if that doesn’t work for me, I should try city lips. So off I went, to buy one of those. I applied on my lips and I didn’t feel anything but after 2-3 minutes my lips became red and along with them, every mm around my lips that had come in contact with the plumper had become red. As you can imagine I was like a clown and therefore my lips did look huge because it was the same as with lipstick outside the lipline. But after 10-20 minutes when the redness goes away, the lips are normal, having the exact same volume…
Another thing is that these plumpers promise overnight effects and I want to remind you that this is also a trap since lips are naturally fuller when you wake up, and that doesn’t mean that the plumper has had an effect.
Both of them of course, had no cumulative effects either, and I used them over a month each, several times a day, (more than 4), exclusively on clean and dry lips…
As you might understand I am pretty disappointed and I don’t think I will be repurchasing any of these products, I feel totally taken advantage of, from these firms… |
