Hello guys~ I'm newbie here and I found that this is the most informative site and I'm getting addicted to the site.
Are there any product that helps to grow or make it fuller eye lash? I am loosing my eye lashes each day and it makes me very nervous. I'm so scare to see myself with out eye lash one day...( I guess I'm bit exaggerating here........hehe)
I am using Channel water proof mascara currently. Does waterproof makes lash fall? But it's the only way my eye lash to stay up through out the day........
I'm looking for two things. Any product that makes fuller and grow longer, thicker eye lashes. Mascara that makes look fuller and longer AND stay curly eye lash through out the day. I hope I'm not asking too much......
I know there are hair implants but did anyone hear about eye lash implants?
Looking forward to get any advises. I'm pretty desperate............... |

Hello Sunshine
I have used Talika Eye lipocil and it did help my eyelshes to grow longer and thicker, not curlier unfortunately. I like this product. I used this twice a day (in the morning before applying my regular mascara and before sleeping) for 1 month and then cut down to once a day and now once in 2 days.Talika
There are 3 other products I heared about but I have no experience with those myself : Mavala, Shu umera and Lamas Lash Mascara. The last one also makes your lash color darker.
I believe Mabsy is currently using the Lamas and has more experience about these kind of products.

Hang in there Sunshine, I am at work at the moment (and thus shouldn't be HERE ) so I can't go through all the posts that I want to and I just logged in to update a few that needed to be updated (don't want people getting angsty over the Alphaderma CE giveaway ). I will log back in tonight and reply to this. I have used Mavala, Talika, currently using Lamas (love it) and I have the Shu one coming in the mail early next week Will tell you more about it tonight.

I have short straight eyelashes. To get some vavavoom into them I use my shu eumera(spelling?) eyelash curlers. I give them quite a good press to get them to curl. Now... when I use waterproof mascara, the curl seems to stay. If I use normal mascara the curl softens out and my eyelashes look straight.
I find that my eyelashes can fall out also if I curl them everyday and use waterproof mascara. Waterproof tends to be a little harder to take off(some are easier than others)..so look for a gentle effective eye makeup remover. I get small bald patches from time to time..they do grow back..I just have to be patient and gentle when removing it all.
My holy grail is mascaras..so interested to know what others are using..both waterproof and non waterproof.
Also...abs love the shu eumera eyelash curler, couldn't live without it. BUT! I happened to have put the spare rubber you get in a very very safe place and now when I need to replace the one in my curler I can't find it!! DOH!
Does anyone know where you can buy a spare original from?? In AUS the curlers are $65AUS dollars..so hoping to find my spare one. Help..
Thanks. |

I have been using the lamas lash masque for a few months now and I love it. The length of my lashes is fine, they are just very light colored and I originally got this to help give them some more color when I wasn't wearing makeup. My lashes have gotten much fuller and darker since using this. It is great.

I just looked to see what Lamas Lash masque is on the internet. Because its tinted does that mean if you wear it at night you will wake up with panda eyes? |

Here we go, multi-person reply
Dubi - I don't think you can get replacements for the Shu Uemura curler. I think his philosophy is that when you use up your second one then the whole unit should be replaced However, the replacement pads for the Shiseido curler do fit the Shu one and you should be able to buy them for Au$10 (for a pack of two) at most Shiseido counters Had you mentioned this last week I could have got you a new one. I have an order on the way from Shu Uemura and these curlers are only US$16.50 in the States If do need a new one let me know and next time I order something I'll message you and check if you want one.
Littlebo - in short "yes". But there is a way around this. The first time I woke up with flaky dark bits under my eyes but I was basically greedy and using too much. Now I use more during the day and much less at night and have no probs.
Sunshine - I have used both Talika (didn't work for me and I didn't like it) and Mavala. I have to say that I really do prefer Lamas to both of those. Mavala was whiteish so it just looked a bit weird therefore I couldn't use it during the day. The Lamas one is great because it does actually make your lashes darker (and I think this is a cumulative effect actually as Scootercat mentioned). I do use it both night and day. I have also figured out that it's great for eyebrows. It keeps them in place and makes them just a tad darker without making them look like you've spent ages applying eyebrow powder.

I think you can actually get eyelash implants. I lost virtually all of my eyelashes due to a freak accident when I was a kid Most of them grew back except for a small patch on my right eye. My old eye doctor offered to put some in to replace the ones that never came back but I declined his offer . Food for thought.... |

Thank you so much you guys!! You guys are just awesome and God bless you all!!
I think I want to try a Lamas lash masque. Can you please tell me where I can get this?
Only reason I'm using a waterproof mascara is to make stay up and curly through out the day after using the curler. Although I'm only doing this once or twice a week, I found that little harsh on my thin eyelashes. Any recommendation on good mascara that holds up through out the day and makes look fuller, longer and ect..?
One last thing, I was reading an article from somewhere that mascara with VitE + Aloe is also good for the lash. Does any one has experience or opinion on this?
Thanks much!!! |

Sunshine - I'm afraid the Lamas will not really hold a curl well. I've just learned to live with that while I try to revive my lashes to their previous glory days. I use Clarins Pure Curl mascara (till recently that is ) and I found it pretty good. My trick it to use my fingers and gently bend my eyelashes back (resting on my fingers). The heat from your fingers will curl them up. I use this throughout the day as a pick-me-up or when I'm too lazy to use a curler in the first place. I do this with the Lamas as well. Btw, to me, having vit E or aloe in mascara does make sense. But have you seen mascaras with these ingredients anywhere
Dubi - no problem. Give me about a month, by then I will have had time to try out the Shu I have coming and will know what else to get.

Mabsy,
Thanks for your tip.
I went to four different beauty supply over the weekend and couldn't find vit E+Aloe mascara nor Lamas lash masque. I'll let you know when I find it though.
Is anyone know any web store they sell Lamas product for cheap?

Sunshine,
You can get it off the Lamas site. However if you live outside of USA/Canada their shipping is ridiculous! I bought mine fromwww.heavenlyskin.com. The site doesn't look flash (and it's a bit confusing to navigate) but postage to Australia was about US$5 instead of US$20 (or whatever Lamas charges).

Hey, I just registered as a member, but I've been checking this site out alot lately since discovering it while trying to find out more about Mavala Doublelash, Talika Lipocils and Lamas Lash Masque.
Anyway, I read the post regarding mascara containing VitE and aloe and performed a quick search and discovered that the Senna cosmetic line has a mascara with those ingredients plus a mascara brand called Physician's Formula Lash Extending Mascara also has VitE + aloe so I thought I'd let you know. Looking forward to chiming in on other topics soon! |

I don't know about local/national retailers that sell Senna cosmetics, but there website isWww.Sennacosmetics.com. On the other hand, I believe you can buy Physicians Formula cosmetics at any drugstore chain (I've seen it at Walgreens in TX) as well as your local and ubiquitous Wal-mart! Do they have Ulta stores in L.A.? If so, I've seen it there, too. I haven't tried either of these brands of mascara, so I can't give a review or tell you if they're worth it, but fortunately Physicians Formula products are relatively cheap so it shouldn't cost you dearly should you decide to experiment. |

ok so i was looking up lash impants and stumbled onto you guys and I have to agree that this site is very informative thanx soo much for your knowledge... see I have been very unsatisfied with my lashes but I am young (22) and I was thinking of cosmetic surgery but you have persauded me to try lamas first thank you soo much
on another note I recently found out that waterproof mascara has tar in it which is why it is more likely to create problems with loosing lashes
I did however find a Dr. in TX that performs lash implants for anyone interested the adress is:www.drkathrynduplantis.com
also there is also the option of eyelash extensions which are kinda expensive but I have tried it and it caused more loss of lashes and supposedly the glue they use can potentially blind you (that last part is hearsay)
thanx |

jennybenny, let me first compliment you on your screen name. And I agree....I have definitely noticed more lash fall out when I wear water proof mascara. If anyone knows of a waterp. mascara that doesn't lend itself to lash fallout please post! |

Jennybenny, what you said about waterproof mascara thinning your lashes is definately true, if a product is so difficult to remove it cannot be doing your lashes any favours. the ingredient in waterproof mascara that keeps is on your lashes is similar that in tar on the road!!
there is a company called graft-a-lash (http://graft-a-lash.com/) that does last grafts by individually attaching the false lashes to your current lashes. you can choose the length and size of the lashes however the downside is that as soon as your real lash falls out so does the false one
hope this has been helpful

Before you turn to medical science to improve your lashes, why not try out the lash growth conditioning products that many of us have used and experienced amazing results? Do a search on this forum using "Lucia" and "Ardell" as the key words and it should return all of the results where members have posted their reviews of "Ardell Lash and Brow Growth Accelerator" and "Lucia Essence." |

I've heard so much positive review on Ardell, Lucia and Lamas. I'm tempted to try them but if I'm on a budget and have to pick only one, which brand would give me maximum result? |

I recently purchased (but haven't received yet), a very expensive product for growing longer, darker lashes. It's by Jan Marini. It's called Age Intervention Eyelash and you put it on your eyelid, not your eyelashes.
I'll definitely let everyone know if it works or not! |

Ardell AND Lucia. Even though you are pinching pennies, the Ardell only costs around four bucks and it's definitely worth its weight in gold.

Please do!! I’m wildly curious about this product, but I can’t see spending $150 if it doesn’t work any better than Ardell and/or Lucia. On the other hand, if your lashes suddenly grow to 2 inches in length as a result of the JM product, I’ll be all over that like a cheap suit!!!
Just out of curiosity, have been using any of the other lash growth products or will the JM product be your first? I’m just wondering if you *do* end up getting good results, if they can be solely attributed to the JM stuff or if they could be a result of the lash growth serums you’d previously tried, or a combination of both.
Actually, that’s why I’m having a hard time developing my own homemade lash growth super serum – I need a eyelash growth “virgin” to be my guinea pig! |
