I was just going through some of the MUA boards today and noticed that some people rave about a primer called Per-fekt (actually it's called "per-fekt skin perfection gel" from perfektbeauty.com. It's available from Nordies and I think Sephora as well - and is also quite pricy (US$57.50 for 1oz). Has anybody tried this? Is it really so much better than the other primers on the market?

I recently bought some Per-fekt from their website, perfektbeauty.com, after I picked up a sample when I was in Kitson in Los Angeles doing some superstar shopping.
OH MY GOD! All I can say...I didn't pick it up as a Primer though. I wanted something to wear instead of foundation that would even my skin tone, so I wouldn't HAVE t wear make-up. Per-fekt did the trick. I smooth it on after my moisturizer dries, and INSTANTLY my face looks evened out (I had a little ruddy in my complexion...fair, blonde)super soft and silky, flawless complexion...everyone comments on how great my skin looks. My friend, a make-up artist, got some and she uses it on her clients as a primer. She calls it a 'luxurious treat' and says the make-up smooths on beautifully and makes a huge difference.
I'm addicted to it. I can't imagine NOT using it! And if anything, I've had fewer breakouts since I've started using it! Doesn't clog pores...just all yummy nourishing stuff!
You HAVE to try it! Oh, and a little goes a long way...so worth the price.

Does it work just as good if you get translucent?, or should you get a color?

I say go for the color! for me, the 'luminous' is perfect...I'm pretty fair. My girlfriend uses 'Radiant' and she's medium toned. Thing is, I can use ALL of the colors because they're sheer and blend so well. Just depends on if I want ot add a little color or not...
You'll love it. I tell all my friends...
