Ladies, how much do you spend on skincare and makeup on average each month? My spending has increased vastly since joining this forum and I feel bad about letting some over USD$200 face cream sitting in my drawer (half-used) because I want to try new stuff. |

I've finally become pretty much satisfied with what I'm currently using, so most of my purchases are just reorders. However, in the past I've really overspent on skincare which is evident in my bathroom drawers. It's embarrassing sometimes! I used to hide new skincare from my housecleaner so she wouldn't know I had bought more.
Get to know what ingredients work for you so you can make wiser decisions and then finally realize there are no miracles in a bottle. |

I'm too embarrassed to answer this !
However, I have been much better recently than in the past - I've been making a real effort to use up all of the stuff I had accumulated and haven't bought much in the last few months. I've been reading all the posts here with huge interest and am now planning my next big splurge which will be IS Clinical and Juvedical - hopefully backed with all the information I've got from reading this forum I'll find something there that I want to stay with for a while.
Isn't it funny though how a new to-die-for product always appears on the horizon just when you start to think you've found "the one"? |

my problem isn't skincare, i have found a regime that works and am satisfied with so that's fine, make up on the other hand i can't get enough of, i have to try almost every single new product on the market, so it can get quite costly. This month i have already spent approx AUS$500 just on make up. It's a disease.

I'm trying SO hard to use up my existing stock first, (you wouldn't believe how many products I have).
As I haven't bought anything (major) recently I've saved a lot of money BUT I've just splurged £300 at Next on clothes(around $500 US), so that didn't go very far! |

I have learned so much from everyone here at this forum and yes, I've spent alot of money and accumulated alot of products, but that's how I was able to go from buying $100+ individual products to practically nothing! I make my own C serum, pay a few dollars with insurance for retin-a, and exfoliate and cleanse with psf cleanser and clarisonic. The rest now is in oils which cost about $15 a pop on average, and sunscreen. I LOVE this forum! |
