Finished my first 6 weeks on Obagi. Does the flaking ever end.... Tried the Sunblock 24 -- HATE IT. I'm sure it works, but I looked like a mime. Too white and pasty.
Any recommendations on a sunblock higher than 30 (the higher the better I say) that doesn't stay white on your face, isn't oily, doesn't cause breakout?
Also, any recommendations on a face powder that has SPF in it? Now that I have nice skin (when it isn't flaking) I don't need make-up, but do think a little less shine would be nice.
One final comment, although my face may look better, it doesn't feel very soft. I miss moisturizer like crazy! |

I'm ordering a sunblock called Anessa from the Shesiedo line. It isn't sold in America, but I've only heard good things about it. There are a few good threads about sunblock happening in the Skin Care Forum here that you should check out. |

I like shesiedo's ultra smooth sunscreen lotion spf 33. Recently, I switched to jan marini's daily face protectant and it is really wonderful for oily skin. |

Maybe it's just me, but I really really like the Obagi Daily Face Protector spf 35 (the one that comes in an actual tube.) I have good skin that borders on oily and while I don't use Obagi's system I use the spf 35 cream and their C-Effectives 10% C serum (which I love, since it has never turned on me!) My dermatologist tells everyone who uses Obagi not to use the 25, but to use the 35 instead, so I don't know how different it is.
It absorbs quickly and easily and while definitely more of a cream, it hasn't ever left a white residue or cast on my face.
You can't get it on EDS, but I get mine from SkinStore.com or at a spa. You may want to give that one a shot.
I still want to try Skinceuticals one day, but I'm happy with the Obagi 35, and I like the slightly higher spf! |

I also use the Obagi SPF 35 and I love it, actually it is the only product from Obagi that I use, and I do not get that white residue we all hate. I use about a dime size or maybe less and spread it well, it absorbs very nicely! My dermatologist recommended it to me!! |

I have also been using the Obagi SPF 35 as part of the system and I agree that it's not uber sticky or greasy at all. There's no white residue on me either. I find a large pea size suffices for my face, too. |

I have recently started using jan marini's daily sunscreen. I love it. I have oily skin and it seem to keep the oilies away. |

I really like the Obagi Healthy Skin Protection SPF 35, too. It looks like the bright white cream will show up on your skin, but I've never noticed it at all. Hasn't made me break out, either, which is a miracle in of itself.
Good luck finding the sunscreen that's perfect for you! |

I use La roche posay Anthelios spf60 for these days.It is very gentle and applied smoothly.
But it is oily for my skin especially in summer.Maybe more better in fall and winter. |

i just use the neutrogena sunblock for the face. It is not oily and doesnt cause breakouts or clog pores. It is cheap and seems to work just fine |

Use SunFader instead of Sunblock.

Just started using the whole Obagi line about 2 weeks ago. I use the 35spf Sunblock, and don't have any problems w/it being white...I just rub it in as normal. I also use Bare Escentuals face powder (or maybe they call it a foundation?) It has a 15spf...and covers my redness well! I'm having some flaking...but find using a washcloth on my face helps. I also tuck one in my briefcase, so if I need a touch late afternoon...I can just wet it and rub! Then, I have more sunscreen in my purse (very pale skin!) so put that on, and I'm good to go! |

I use Obagi spf 35. I believe it has a physical as well as chemical sunblocking agent so it really gives protection. Don't apply it too thickly though or it will appear white on the skin--a little goes a long way.
As a bonus, the tube lasts forever! Good value for money. |

I used the Sunfader but found my skin was tanned even more easily. So I just tossed it, didn't like the texture either. |
