First of all....I tried my new 40% Glycolic Peel from Platinum last evening. WOW....this was definitely a full strength treatment. I could barely leave the product on for the recommended 1-3 minutes. At any rate, my skin feels smooth and lovely this morning. I cannot wait to see the cumulative results.
ANYWAY.....I also ordered a sample of Copper Serum with my peel. How in the world do I integrate Copper into my present regimine?
I believe that it is a "no-no" to layer copper and Vitamin C products. Therefore, is it admissable to use Copper in the morning and Vitamin C in the evening?
If the above is the case, I still will need to moisturize in the morning after my copper application. Currently I use two Eucerin products for this purpose......Eucerin Q 10 Anti Wrinkle Creme and Eucerin Skin Renewal SPK 15 Day lotion (with Lactic Acid). Do you think that these two products will interfere with the copper?
So many products.....so little time!!!!! |

You should do the exact opposite. Vit C is best used in the morning since it gives some added protection from the sun. I'm not sure what exactly is in your Eucerin creams, but I don't think there would be any problems with just using them as your moisturizer after the vit c or copper application. This was my routine when I was using both the copper and Vit C and it worked well for me. |

I've been using copper serum at night with a retinol cream applying the copper first, wait at least 10 minutes then the retinol. This may not be true, but I heard somewhere that oil and additives in creams can physically block serums from being absorbed into the skin. If both are creams then order of application may not matter. |

You can use both but the proper order is vitamin c in the am and copper petides at night. Some people rave about the remodelling effects of copper peptides. I used it for close to a year before I switched to IS Clinical and got zero results myself.... |

Same here unfortunately. On top of that I believe th CP product from Platinum Skincare is what gave me milia around my eye area. Once that happened I never used it again. |

I have a jar of ProCyte copper cream. When used on normal skin, it doesn't seem to do anything but I recently used it on a patch of eczema on my hands and it really seemed to speed up the healing process.
As far as copper and Vit C goes, I was once told by Dr. Pickart of Skin Biology that the copper inactivates the Vit C so it's best to alternate usage. Over on MUA there have been posts about free radicals being created if the two are mixed and that Vit C can linger in the skin for up to 3 days. If that's true, it gets pretty hard to figure out when to apply the copper product. |
