Ok, I'm not EXACTLY sure if this counts as a "beauty product" or not (if not, sorry!), but since I eat energy bars like it's my job, I figured some of you ladies might be doing it too... Anyway, I eat energy bars for two reasons. One is that they make a quick meal if I'm in a hurry (and they are healthier than a pop-tart, LOL), and the other is that if I'm hungry between meals, the protein and fiber in them can make them a pretty healthy snack. That being said, I hate the taste of most of them. And, when I find one I like, I usually get sick of it in a week or so. But then I found Clif Nectar Organic Fruit and Nut Bar! The only flavor I have tried is dark chocolate walnut, but ladies, it is absolutely SINFUL! It tastes just like a dark, moist, chocolate-walnut brownie, and here's the catch--- there's no flour, no egg, no refined sugar, nothing! Here's the whole ingredient list: organic dates, organic walnuts, organic unsweetened chocolate, organic cocoa, and organic vanilla. I totally expected this bar to taste like dates, and I was ok with that, since it's only 160 calories and it provides two full servings of fruit, but I literally can't taste the dates at all. So, if you are a fan of chocolatey treats but are trying to stay healthy, this bar is really worth checking out. You can get it at Whole Foods, but I buy it by the box at drugstore.com. |

I make up bars with practically the same ingredients as are in the one ones you listed for my SO and he loves them
Figs instead of dates also works well. |

These are delicious!!!! The chocolate ones are my favorite, but there are at least 2 other varieties (maybe almond apricot and lemon-cashew or something like that?) that are both also very tasty.
They are my favorite bars by far... they just taste healthier and less artificial than most of the others.
I don't eat bars often, but I like to carry one or two around in my purse so that if I'm ever in a crunch I can eat one--I'm not diabetic, but I get super cranky if my blood sugar drops too much, and these are perfect.
I bought mine at Trader Joe's I think--don't know where else they sell them. |

OH, I almost forgot! Because of how chocolatey these are, they are AMAZING to munch on when PMS strikes! |
