I have only used the Silkia but have just ordered the Epiderm - I'll let you know which I prefer!
Ideally I'd like the Epiderm to work the best as its rganic and cold pressed - the Silkia isn't I don't think.
Grateful for anyone else opinions too.
Thanks |

The camellia oil I have is from http://www.chidoriyaworld.com. I LOVE this company! No parabens, and they have a whole skin care line based on skin-friendly ingredients like camellia oil, adzuki beans, and rice flour. Plus, the customer service is really good--- when you place an order, if you request a sample of an item you want try they'll send it. I'll be posting some reviews of their items soon! |

I Chidoryia also. I just tried their camellia oil and really liked it. Unfortunatly I cannot compare it since I have not used the other brands mentioned.
manslayerliz what items did you get from Chidoriya? Did they send you their little write up "What is natural?" |

Actually Theresa, it was a post from you that steered me in the direction of Chidoriya, so a big thank you to you!^-^ What products of theirs have you tried? I originally went there because I have very sensitive lips and their lip balm with camellia and rose hip oil seemed like just the ticket for me. So, I got the Yuzu lip balm and the Brown Sugar and Adzuki Bean soap, and they kindly sent me generous samples of the Green tea and Pearl Barley soap, the Silk and Rice Bran Soap, and the Camellia Oil, so I have a lot of new products to try! Like I said, after I use them all for a few days I'm going to be posting full reports. |

Your welcome manslayerliz! I thought it was you that had asked about Chidoriya on the lip balm post, so I was curious to see what you had bought. I have tried the Yuzu lip balm and the Hinoki lip balm. The Yuzu one is my HG evening lip balm! I love their oil blotting papers. Other than the camellia oil that I mentioned earlier, I have also tried their Maiko soap-very nice, no irritation soap that I like to use on my hands. I look forward to your reviews! |

I use Silkia camellia oil and love love how it makes my skin feel and look. The bottle says it's organic and cold pressed. I like it much better than rosehip oil. I bought a cold pressed organic rosehip oil and lost interest using it after a week, because it was thick and smelled strongly (the smell lingered the whole day even after I washed it off), and I just didn't like how it felt on my skin. But the Silkia oil is light, smellless and super smooth and leaves my skin glowing. |

I have tried both Silkia and the Epiderm one. I much preferred the Epiderm. I found that Silkia did not sink in nicely enough for me (seemed to have a residue on my face after several hours), but I never had that with Epiderm. Once you have both you will see there is no comparison.
Mind you, in the end I changed over to the L'Occitane Immortelle Elixir for my oil treatment, but I still use the camellia on my hair and as a hand/foot treatment. |

I took advantage of the buy 3 get 1 free offer from goldportbeauty after hearing so many glowing reports about the camellia oil but it made me break out in areas I've never broken out in before.
I tried the epiderm brand of camellia oil and I don't break out from it! All of my pigmented spots from past breakouts are gone and it even helped fade a scorch mark on my cheek (run in with a curling iron). Love this stuff! I use it right after the epidermx microdermabrashion creme. |

This may be a really stupid question, but where do you get the epiderm one-I looked on the epidermx site-nowhere to be found |

my skin responds very well to Silkia camellia oil ... it has normalized my oily skin, helped with skin healing and taken care of some small fine lines ... also i had plenty of acne scarring both surface red spots and depressed pits, the oil made the red spots disappear fast and the pits are about 90% plumped up. |

Can you explain how an oil would plump up depressed acne scars? I'm very interested since I have some myself... |

Hi Miss Marina, just wanted to say hi and help you out!
I am the developer and owner of Epidermx, and I just brought out Epidermx II and our new line NaturDerm. The site you tried to find Epidermx on was I believe EpiDerm, which no longer exists.
The NaturDerm site is not yet completed, but you can find Epidermx at goldportbeauty and greatnewskin
I made the decision not to carry Camellia Seed Oil as one of our products, Chrysalyx, was performing better - Camellia Seed Oil is wonderful - I love it - and it just made more sense to refer our old customers to goldportbeauty - who are special friends of ours - hope that helps! Amy |

Amy,
I'm so disappointed to hear you won't be carrying the epiderm camellia oil any more. I cannot use the silkia brand, it causes cycstic acne for me whereas the epiderm brand does not. I'm not sure what the difference between brands is since they are both supposedly 100% pure but there is definitely a difference. Is there any chance you have any epiderm oil left in stock?
By the way, I do use the Chrysalxy and naturederm and love them both but really would like to continue using the camellia oil as well. |

Bless your heart mom2eloise! I do have some left just pm me - it was very pure - we can always bring it back if the demand is there. People liked to combine the Camellia with the Epidermx II for scarring and firming and the Chrysalyx is just producing better results. - we appreciate you, very much! Amy |

I just purchased Camellia oil after reading good things on this board. Would the oil be applied before or after serum and moisturizer? |
