Hello there, does anyone know of any concealer or foundation to cover bruises nicely on my legs? I bumped myself so often these days that my legs are covered with hideous bruises and I swear that they never go away completely. Since it's almost summer, I want to bare my legs but with those disgusting looking bruises, I don't think I'll do that without covering them first So if anyone here try or know of anything, pls let me know! I feel like crying just looking at my legs |

Hi,
There's Dermablend, Makeup For Ever makes a body cover also, as does MAC. |

Stardusty, have you tried taking more vitamin C with bioflavanoids? |

They have those airspray type leg make up in the can. I believe Sally Hansen is one brand and there are a few other ones as well. They're supposed to cover and be waterproof. I bought a can but haven't used it yet. |

i've used the sally hansen spray on airbrush one...
but i don't think it has enough coverage for bruises.. it just makes your legs look smoother...
and it also doesn't seem to be water proof and smudges onto the inside of your skirt/whatever you're wearing... but it washes off very easily
but its quite cheap, and it's good for occasional use
if someone finds a cheap but better alternative... do share! |

I think I know a better alternative than Sally Hansen - but it's more expensive, I'm afraid!
I really love the Air Stocking spray. It gives really good, but natural-looking coverage and will even stay put if you get wet - as long as you don't rub it with soap. The only problem is that it's pretty messy to apply because it's a spray. |

Hi Mimsy,
No I don't take any Vit. C with bioflavanoides, does it help with healing bruises and marks? Thanks!
And thank you everyone for sharing which foundation is good to for the legs but I'm not sure if I have much faith in them cuz I tried a Cover FX foundation and it claims that it can cover major things from tattoos to bruises, but it doesn't really completely cover much on my legs....so I don't know |

AFAIK, bioflavonoids are supposed to be good for strengthening vein walls. |

Another option is a gradual self-tanner. I'm very pale so even a slight bruise will show up on my legs (which seem to be the palest part of me!) I've tried covering them up with makeup but it just doesn't work. In the summer I use the Jergens daily glow stuff (it's the only 'gradual' self tanner I've used, but there's a gajillion out now, that probably smell better!) Making my legs darker just by a little bit --I find three days of application is ideal-- makes any bruises and other blemishes look diminished, and, then, if I have a date with my boyfriend, I'll brush on a shimmer which disguises flaws even more. |
