I have tried Juice Green apple peel,Neutragena acne scar fade mask and proactive lightening lotion. They all work to an extent. I found the best results with a professional microderm abrasion. |

When I first started using glycolic acid, they were great for fading acne scars. Gone within a week. |

For acne scars, I wouldn't even bother with drugstore stuff....you need to get a little more hardcore than that. This is serious dermatology, we're talking about skin retexturizing here.
I achieved mild results through:
1) using a glycolic acid product
2) Retin A
Both made my skin noticeably smoother and seemed to fade some of the redness of the scars.
However, I have achieved the MOST success so far through professional microdermabrasian treatments. They are pricey, but I am at a point where I just want these things GONE.
I'm not quite done with the series [of 6 treatments] yet, but so far I have noticed a definite change in my skin texture, the scars are less noticeable, and my skin tone as a whole is more even.
The esthetician claims that my scars will be all but gone by the end of the treatments. She pointed to her own face and told me she once had terrible scarring -- now there is no evidence of that. I guess I'll just have to hang out and wait to see if her claims are true, but that's what I'm hoping. |

what about microdermabrasion? However it can get very pricey because you have to go for several sessions |

Hi,
For Acne scars, you just need to be patient. They are all right:
1) Tretinoin, topical vitamin c, sunblock
2) Aspirin masks
3) Glycolic peels
Mine usually fades in about 2 weeks, and these are the big scars from the hormonal monthly breakouts |
