Stateside members tell me, is DHL in the US any good?
They are woefully slow in delivering to Japan and it is getting really annoying...
A package from Germany with DHL took nearly 2 weeks to get here... and now I have been waiting 10 days for a DHL package from California.
Mind you, packages sent the same day from the post office in the UK (Organic Pharmacy) and Canada (EDS) arrived in 3 days and 6 days respectively. I thought DHL was supposed to be a courier company?! |

Ugh, I can't stand DHL. Not only do I not like ther service, but when I lived in Minnesota the DHL guy would ALWAYS quiz me about my packages. ("So... Relax Spa... what kinds of things are you ordering from them? Are you ordering stuff for your work? I noticed youre often home during the day--- do you work from home? Are you self-employed?") Is it just me, or is that just too nosy? |

I can't decide who I like less DHL or UPS. When I order anything I (shockingly) look for USPS as an option. UPS is TOO expensive and TOO slow.
DHL - well, I had a run-in with 1 of their drivers and awoke the next morning to find my car window broken. Coincidence...maybe. I highly doubt it though. |

No kidding...waaaay too nosy! When I lived in Canada, I also had problems with the DHL. I guess they're not the most efficient |

OK, well your DHL guy is beyond creepy... eww.
I wrote to Osea about my package and they said that it was coming by USPS priority, not DHL (confirmation mail said DHL so maybe they had too many DHL troubles too ) |

I had a problem with DHL, too. Apparently the guy was saying he attempted delivery when he didn't even ring my bell or leave a notice! I called and complained and he did show up with the package within an hour...but it could've been sent back to the sender if I hadn't looked at the tracking!!
I have SERIOUS problems with USPS in my area. I've had a number of packages go missing - even ones with tracking (it just says it's 'delivered' even though I never got it). Perhaps it's just my crazy neighborhood, but I much prefer UPS. I've only had one problem with them when they left my package with a neighbor. I was new in town and didn't know them at all and found this sort of an odd thing to do in new york city! I did get my package, though, so I shouldn't complain too much. |
