An egg white mask is an old DIY standard... it's supposed to tighetn pores, etc.
Don't know offhand about including the yolks, but I don't see why not.
Milk is great b/c it adds lactic acid. |

Hey...cream and eggs sounds good to add to the asprin mask.
Do you add the whole egg?? Or would it be just the egg whites?
I use yogurt and aloe with the asprin mask right now, and I'm satisfied with it, but if there's something better then I'm all ears!
I'd love to hear what other 'stuff' you guys add... |

I'm with puglove...I, too, would love to hear more about what everyone mixes with their aspirin!
Liz, adding cream sounds great! How much do you put in to the mix? And I think you said you also use green tea in the mix somewhere. Did you find this on the DIY board, or is it your own personal blend? If so, then would you mind sharing how you make it?

Hiya, I just tried aspirin mask + yoghurt + powdered milk.. I must say, I really like it! better consistency and smooth hydrated feeling after, not the usual dryness I get with just aspirin and water!! |

Hi Mary! My recipe is my own personal blend, but it seems to work wonders, so I've been sticking to it!^-^ Here's how I do it: take 10 or so aspirin, and pour just a teaspoon or 2 of cream (or half and half) on them--- any more and the mask will just be too runny to work with. Then, I add a teaspoon or so of green tea---fresh brewed is best, but some nights I'm lazy and just take some from the pitcher I keep in my fridge. Then, when all the liquid has been absorbed by the aspirin, I add about a teaspoon of honey and mix it all up. The cream and honey have a really nice hydrating effect, and then the green tea is anti-inflammatory (good for current breakouts), and it also just nourishes the skin, gets rid of skin-damaging free-radicals, discourages future breakouts, etc. My husband and I do this mask 3-4 nights a week--- it's really nice!! Feel free to ask me any questions if I wasn't clear in some parts!^-^ |

Thanks so much!

My asprin mask recipe varies depending on who I'm making it for.
My personal one is a handful on asprin
2 TBS Lemon
2 TBS Honey
1 TBS Green Clay
I micro the Lemon juice for 10 secs, pour over the asprin to dissolve it. Add the honey then the clay. This lasts me about 10 days. |

Candy, your aspirin mask sounds great, too! How about you and Liz getting your recipes posted on the DIY thread? These are really neat variations on the original formula, I think!
